    3.0 tdv6 crankshaft failure

Cranks are different between the 2.7/3.0, but can be swapped, as far as I believe However, the bearings were not tabbed on the early 3.0, so can still suffer from spun bearings They were located by tabs at some point in the engines lifespan, but I don't know when

Freelander 2 (LR2) Service Clock not fully reset

2012 has a service reset function, as well as an "oil change" function, which resets the oil dilution due to DPF regen. To my knowledge, there is no universal diagnostic tool that will reset it, it has to be a Land Rover specific tool to rest it fully

    Freelander 1.8 Turbo

The V6 weighs 100kg more, and has 30 bhp less, and higher transmission losses being an auto, so one would expect the 1.8 Turbo to be quicker The L322 is indeed electronically limited, but it gets nowhere near this speed in the 1/4 mile The car will be off the road for the winter, trying to...

how fast do these go ?

I actually had a 2.4 110 Defender up to 110mph (downhill) before I bottled it It had a big intercooler, remap and speed limiter disabled ;)

how fast do these go ?

They can. And at that speed, it wanders over the road, it's noisy, it sounds like the end of the world...

    Repair costs.

They can be done from the top, with the power steering pump out of the way :)
