Disco 2 Air suspension plip / remote - can it be programmed with a Hawkeye?

That's great thanks. Appreciate the "at your own risk" and will bear that in mind. Just gotta work out how to program the code with the Hawkeye now - that's something to entertain me this weekend! :)

Disco 2 Air suspension plip / remote - can it be programmed with a Hawkeye?

Well, finally got the starting issues fixed (I hope!). Thought we cured it with a rebuild of the filter housing but only lasted a day or 2 then problems again, albeit not so bad, but now been back to the garage for full set of genuine injector seals and washers. Fingers crossed this has cured it...

Disco 2 Starting problems - where to start looking????

That's brilliant, thanks very much. At that price i'll get a set ordered and had them to him - no chance of him making excuses for a bodge job then!

Disco 2 Starting problems - where to start looking????

So car came back from garage yesterday - had rear fuel filter replaced and housing rebuilt including replacement of the non-return valve. I got them to order the injector seals and washers but the repair to the filter housing seems to have cured things for now, so I've got the seals ready to get...

Disco 2 Starting problems - where to start looking????

ok, so managed to get a neighbour to plug it in to his diagnostic machine (iCarsoft LRII) it's come up with "open circuit" on injectors 3 and 4 but not giving the error codes for some reason (machine he's using maybe?). Anyway, problem got worse so off it went to the garage yesterday - yes, I...

Disco 2 Starting problems - where to start looking????

That's brilliant, thanks for the info -- I guess it's going to the garage then (better than me buggering it up completely by trying it without the tools or the expertise!)

Disco 2 Starting problems - where to start looking????

injector washers / seals (guessing these are the same thing) - would they go suddenly or would it begin as intermittent and build up? I'm working on the theory that any other "seal" would normally either slowly start to seep and show intermittent / minor problem, or would blow dramatically and...

Disco 2 Starting problems - where to start looking????

So the old bus was running fine, been using it for the daily jaunt up and down the M5 to work and back all week, little extra trip on Wednesday evening - only an extra 40 miles or so. All was well (emphasis on "WAS")! Then jump in, ready to go to work on Friday, pop the key in and turn it over...

Hawkeye / Nanocom plug in needed

Got a problem with TCS system and been told to plug it in and get live data before looking to change sensors, etc. Seems every slight pothole I go over sets off the TCS system, it's way too sensitive to be working right. Was wondering if anyone in Weston-super-Mare / Bristol area has a Disco 2...

    Landy zone 13!!

Does that mean in a good way or are we talking drunken initiation ceremonies??? :D I was thinking more along the lines of those PMR things that were mentioned - had a quick look on eBay and they seem to range from only a few quid up to about a hundred or so - if it's 15 or 20 quid and it'll...

Disco 2 TD5 Manual diff lock query

Ok so here's another of those questions that us non-mechanics like to ask and all you experienced grease-monkeys get to laugh at us about...... My 2004 D2 TD5 Manual was obviously originally bought by a complete tight-arse who didn't want to pay out the extra for the optional diff lock. Shame...

    Landy zone 13!!

So, being a complete newbie, I've got no bloody idea about all this radio comms stuff - can someone break it down into simple words that a West Country bloke can understand? Not sure if I want to fork out on a full CB setup as don't know at this stage how much use it'll get and / or whether...

Disco 2 Mantec Upper Load Lugga (rear load shelf)

I spent quite a while wondering whether to buy one of these Mantec load lugga rear shelfs: http://www.flatdoguk.com/discovery-2-load-lugger~916 It's not the cheapest accessory (£150 including VAT & postage) but as we've usually got the dog in the boot and we've got a 7 seater (so no storage...

    Landy zone 13!!

No, can cope for 2 days with leisure battery and a bottle of gas for the cooker (bacon butties for breakfast and kettle for a coffee) and the fridge (mainly to keep the beer cold, but will have to squeeze in the milk and bacon too)!!:)

when i'm telling the missus what i'm spending it's ALWAYS "a little", but if the burger van is good and the beer is flowing then i'm sure it'll mount up!! (just back me up when I tell her you bought the last round! ;))

Disco 2 What's that noise and should i fix it or get a remap first?

haha was thinking more along the lines of you tell me how much, I (hopefully) get to say something like "yeah, that's reasonable" then follow it up with "so what you drinking?" - seems like the civilised way to do business in my books!

    Landy zone 13!!

Ok, so now i'm probably going to sound stupid as i'm sure this is probably obvious - but what the hell, i'm gonna ask it anyway!! As I've not been to one of these before, I want to make sure that we book the right tickets - am I reading it right that 1 ticket at £50 (+£2.69 fee) covers me and...
