Sorry, not tyres, wheels. I bought a solid set of new alloys. Only 21 inch over the 20’s I have. The current are a little scabby. The new were less than a refurb. I have the correct tyres! I’m an idiot but not that much. Thanks again!

L405 Vibration. Love this car, best advice?

Thank you everyone. Here is the thing. I have the car booked for the tyres on Monday if they arrive. AC in about 2 weeks. I live in Oxfordshire. The lead time for a RR mechanic. Good or otherwise is a bloody month, at least. Where do I go. Is there a place, week after next I can drive to. Will...

Thank you. Our messages crossed. Oil seals. That’s the big one for me. Crank must be a proper bill. It’s done 116k clearly there will be a leak somewhere. Nothing on the ground. Ever. Gearbox flush? Nothing in the history that it’s been done. Maybe not a flush, fluid change? Many thanks again.

It’s advice on the details. Service, not neglect, future proof, surely that’s the right thing to do? Obviously? Advice?

L405 Vibration. Love this car, best advice?

Hello, and thank you from the start. Background: I’ve had Range Rovers for years, P38, L322, there was a discovery 3 in the mix. I now have an L405 4.4 TDV8. (2014 - 114,000, Full JLR history to 100.000) I love it. After purchase, I sent it for a health check at Venture 4x4 in Oxfordshire. There...

    Advice please! Help!

Freelander 1 TD4, 2004. Chaps, could you offer some sage advice? My brother has a beloved TD4. It’s a bit of a shed, full of crap and used for chasing an errant collie. It’s just been sent to a very trusted mechanic as the clutch is slipping a bit. However, when he tried to dismantle the bloody...

    P38A P38 vague value?

Miles. As said, was in the UK all it’s life. Went to his holiday home and put on French plates when he upgraded to a new Range Rover for UK use . He is a car collector, loads of metal in the UK, US and France. Most pre-war. It’s an interesting project. But…. What to offer? Can’t be many manual...

Mark Smith did the engine rebuild. Probably 85k on it. All going from Oxfordshire to the south of France.

    P38A P38 vague value?

Many thanks everyone. It’s a 1995 car. Bought and registered in the UK and here all it’s life until about 3 years ago. UK registration on retention. So, I assume, drive back on French plates and re-register to the original UK number, MOT and insure. Absolutely hadn’t thought about import tax...

    P38A P38 vague value?

Good afternoon, I have been offered a P38. I sold my last one a few years ago. Since then, I have been keen to get another. A friend has a car that will be up for sale in the next month or so. However, he has no idea what it’s worth and neither do I. Can someone help? Details. 1. No previous...

Freelander 1 Odd problem when cold

Hello and Merry Christmas. My Freelander 1 TD4 (2004) has developed a strange fault. When cold, it hunts badly at about 2k revs. As it warms up, this improves and the revs at which it hunts increases to 3k then clears. After this, it runs fine till the following day. Fuel? It’s an old girl but...
