Wanted:Land Rover approved garage in Derbyshire

Cavendish Land Rover at Storforth Lane Ind Estate, Chesterfield are very very good. I've been using them for my Defender for a few years. A family member with a FL2 also uses them. They have 2 premises there, one is a parts shop and the other is the workshop. The shop generally stocks...

    Portable 12v compressor

I use an RAC900. I have it mainly for caravanning as the hose is plenty long enough to reach the caravan tyres when connected to the Defenders battery. It also inflates to a higher pressure than some, my caravan tyres are 60psi. It comes with various attachments that I've found useful for...

    Ayresys Workshop Thread :)

Some impressive work there :) Whereabouts in Derbyshire are you? It's always nice to know where garages/workshops are that have LR knowledge, seeing as I live next to Derbyshire. Do you do LR repairs for anyone or just agricultural customers?

Great word:D Ill undo the two screws, remove the existing insulation tape, and then use either shrink wrap or the self amalgamating stuff. Thanks:)

    Battery Clamps - Bare Wire?

The quick release battery clamps on my caravans leisure battery look like they need tidying up as there is bare wire showing. So what would be the correct way of doing this? Shrink wrap? insulation tape? Leave it alone?

Strange breakdown & loss of power!!

Looks like you were right actually:). Ive got it back from the garage and they sorted the badly wired switch. But when dropping off the Defender with them, they did suggest exactly what you said, and it seems you were correct, they diagnosed a kinked accelerator cable which has now been...

Box of stuff in the back

Cliffsta had took the banter rather well. Perhaps we can get down to advising what he should really be carrying in the back of his disco. Personally, a monkey in a cage is my favourite accessory....

Box of stuff in the back

No finer feeling than being sat naked in your Defender with a little piglet sat on your lap. Especially when it tries to find a teat to suckle on!

Strange breakdown & loss of power!!

Didn't take it for a drive last night, didnt want to risk breaking down. But I have removed the Carling switch to my heated windscreen and found the live wire had come out and looked to be touching one of the other wires. Im guessing this could explain why my wipers suddenly went really slow...

Strange breakdown & loss of power!!

The mats were my first thought actually, but I pulled them out of the way whilst the revs were stuck on, but it defo wasnt the mats at fault. Ive just had to cancel our caravanning weekend in Chester. And im due to drive to St Ives next week. Why me??????
