Banging under feet for me was one of three things. the big bushes at the end of the wish bones or the anti roll bar bushes or the roll bar hitting the body work

Yes it can be done on the drive although I had to take the drivers seat out so I didn't break my back trying to fit one. No you don't need to bleed the brakes as it just slots in then reconnect the wiring connector
