6-Wheel Drive Discovery II - Am I totally mad ?

Well I've decided that I can't wait any longer, I will be collecting her from the paint shop next weekend, whether the work has been done or not. All these glorious weekends are perfect opportunities to get some work done which are all going to waste. If the work is done then great. If not, then...

Who gave up ? You mean me ? That's never going to happen, with 7 years of my life and in excess of £50,000 spent so far, there is no way I am giving up - ever ! And less of the armature, I'm much more of a stator !

6-Wheel Drive Discovery II - Am I totally mad ?

That's a nice looking vehicle, I wonder what its specs are - but no, I'm never building another one, way too much work !!

6-Wheel Drive Discovery II - Am I totally mad ?

Yeah, but there's never one around when you need one ! :)

I am assured that I will get her back before the end of March. The paint guru has just realised he could fit two paying customers in the space occupied by my job waiting to be completed :) So I pointed out that if he does the work soon it is a win-win for us both ! fingers crossed !

6-Wheel Drive Discovery II - Am I totally mad ?

No-one is more frustrated than me to be honest. She has been in the paint shop since the end of last year, where a combination of her sheer size and the fact that she's being fixed up on "mates rates" mean that I constantly get bumped by "real jobs". It's frustrating for me, because while she's...

You have no idea how close the truck driver came to seeing a grown man cry ! Yes she moves on petrol power, but not yet on electric - just waiting for the battery boxes to be fabricated !

6-Wheel Drive Discovery II - Am I totally mad ?

Well thank you, it has been a labour of love ! I don't mind at all, I am more than happy to share where all of the work has been done. The front lights were modded by Headlight Retrofits Ltd - http://www.headlightretrofits.org.uk/ The rear ones were done by Brightlight Customs -...

6-Wheel Drive Discovery II - Am I totally mad ?

Well it has been a while since I did an update, I was supposed to be showing her as the Peterborough show, but she was damaged while being loaded on the truck She has been in the bodyshop every since, the only one I trust with her very custom body panels and paintwork. They are quite busy, so...

Headlights are wired up, but surprisingly hard to photograph ! These are the sidelights on This is dipped beam Main beam Main beam at twighlight I have programmed the FEC to switch off the angel-eye sidelights once the headlights are on right now, but I may change my mind on that at...

6-Wheel Drive Discovery II - Am I totally mad ?

Thanks very much, although in honesty, it's not as hard as it necessarily sounds. It's just a question of being brave enough to rip out what is already there (and which you can't control) and replace it with something new that you can control. In the long term, I'd love to make all the control...

It looks like the connector for the steering column adjust motors, there are two of them - reach & rake, and they both look like this

    Sport Symposer/resonator location

Lol, yeah I think they may be even crazier than me ! The ironic thing is that they are based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. I was born and brought up there ! Small world isn't it !
