Series 3 Location of accelerator bracket holes

Hi folks, After almost finishing welding up my bulkhead I realised that I have plugwelded up the bracket holes for the accelerator crosshaft. The two brackets that are mounted on the top corners. i can see roughly where they go but I don't know how accurate i need to be when re-drilling new...

Welding my Series 2A LWB -Help

I am 72 now and started on the welding fun last year. I have a clarke 90. about £220 and thats all I need for the steel bodywork. The chassis is a new galved one. If you are going to weld the chassis then think about a slightly bigger one, Gas? I opted for a gas only welder. Your choice. I...

    Series 3 Bulkhead centre panel

I took it off the chassis to do some cleaning up in an awkward spot for welding and noticed there had been a rubber type glue spread over the inside in places. So it must have had some soundproofing in the past. I gave it a straighten up clamped between a couple of chunks of wood and a hammer...

    Series 3 Bulkhead centre panel

No problem welding it, Just have to find where to make the cut. It's just that it has unwanted old screw holes in it and being bent, you never get it straight again unless you are an epert. A new piece of steel would look so much better. I just wondered if it had been done by anyone.

    Series 3 Bulkhead centre panel

I mean the flat panel that is curved at the bottom which the transmission tunnel bolts to. It has I believe the hole for the hand throttle.

    Series 3 Bulkhead centre panel

Hi folks, Has anyone changed the bulkhead curved centre panel, the part between the footwells over the gearbox. Apart from being bent up at the bottom it has lots of holes and self tapping screws through it. I thought it might be easier to replace it than weld all the holes up and straighten it...

    YRM footwell holes

Cheers for that. I am nowhere near that position , I am just fitting a new footwell and wondered what all the holes were for. Any un-needed ones I was going to weld up. My son took the Landy apart about 7 years ago now, etc. left it to me and my other son to rebuild. lots of new bits including...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Series 3 1983. I have been lining up my replacement YRM nearside footwell. It fits perfectly. Only problem is that the bottom flange that it gets welded to is near rotted away or paper thin and will need chomping out,

What have you done to your Landie today.

Started trimming a piece of metal to fit into a hole on the series 3 bulkhead. Then trimmed it a bit more etc etc, then went in for tea before going up the pub.
