Issues...A few spots look not done. probably the shot blasting. Next...Where I had butt welded some panels together, they stand out where I had welded...

Where do you put your axle stands?

I cut a piece of 2x2, cut a flat on the top and sit it in the v of the stand .

    Series 3 Shot blast

As promised PICCIES :D A few of during work and after completion and after the SHOTTING:rolleyes:. The last one is of beneath the water drain channel, not seen until after. It is double skinned so I may just leave it and fill with a bit of seam sealant.

That is like my old 1971 Vauxhall Victor Super 1600. It had drums all round but earlier fd's had discs on the front. I had an alternator but my mate had a dynamo same year/model. There was something else but I cant remember. they get to the end of the model and bung on all the spare bits that...

    Steve's unexpected Series 3 rebuild.

I took my sills and brackets to be shotblasted yesterday along with the bulkhead and radiator grill. The sills were rotton on the end like yours and I had to refab them. Also the small plates welded across were gone and had to be replaced. All good fun. My rebuild is a takeover of my eldest...

Thanks for the feedback guys, always interesting to hear different views/ideas. I just remembered the shotblast guy said that some people put wax in the threads for protection. I thought that would melt straight away, unless he was pulling my old todger. I do have some taps in my tap and reamer...

Hi folks I hope to be getting a bulkhead, radiator panel shotted and galved in the next few weeks. What have people done regarding the threaded holes in the parts? and did it work? I mentioned to the guy who is going to blast it for me about putting screws in the holes first and he didn't advise...
