Does anyone use their P38 Offroad

Definitely still on air - many regular subscribers to this forum will have seen years worth of EAS woes posted by me, although I can't believe I'm saying this - all seems OK at the moment!

    P38A Radiator Woes

Here is the new rad - and I did it all by myself... which as regular readers know I always have to distinguish between 'I' when I really mean the Royal 'We' - meaning someone else did it - and 'I' when I mean I actually did something myself! Had to do a bit of jiggery pokery on the locating...

    P38A Radiator Woes

Well, thanks for the above. @Grrrrrr is right, but i’m struggling with cooling anyway, even when not gunged with mud, so I bought it, and i’m just about to try and fit it. wish me luck.

Nothing is ever as good as it seems is it.

    P38A Radiator Woes

Interesting. I happen to have the viscous removed and the cowl. Which pipes need modifying? Is that a diesel you are putting it into?

    P38A Radiator Woes

Hi all, Yet again I find myself turning to the good offices of this forum for help. My trusted, (trusted to break down at every given opportunity), RR P38 2.5D Auto has got a split radiator again. I know why. It's my own fault. Took it green laning over Salisbury Plain before Christmas - got...

Does anyone use their P38 Offroad

Hi Bigsi, I run mine on a 2"lift too - but just a body lift - which allows me to use Toyo Open Country M/T 255/85R16 tyres. I don't use a diff' guard with mine, and although I have grounded on the diff' a few times prior to fitting the bigger tyres - I have not done so since. Nick

Range Rover P38 2001 2.5 diesel transmission pipework

I know what you mean - I moved my oil cooler radiator from behind the spoiler to the bulk head near the EAS compressor. The pipes come from the gear box - make a 90deg bend and run below the main radiator to the oil cooler rad. Did you remove them from the gearbox/ to the rad altogether or cut...

    EAS question

Notwithstanding everything that @Datatek said - who should be listened to most carefully - I had the same issues exactly as you first described them - and again, not withstanding the fact that multiple things can be wrong at the same time and compound a problem, after a lot of mucking about with...

Hi Saint, thanks. I'll PM you.

    L322 Climate control fan problem

I ordered this one. JGO000021.C8 However, two things have happened since then. Firstly, having paid for my order as i placed it, they then cancelled it - I have no idea why. Then, today, while returning from a local journey the blower suddenly burst into life and everything is working...

    L322 Climate control fan problem

Brilliant. I have ordered one. Can’t help but think that if the £200+ LR genuine part is so unreliable then the £40 Britpart might be a much more reliable as well as cheaper option!

    L322 Climate control fan problem

Precisely as you first diagnosed, somewhat enigmatically if the fool you are advising thinks a hedgehog is a spiny critter!

    L322 Climate control fan problem

I think I did check that one as it looked promising, and I was clutching at straws by then too. I’ll try and get to the part to check the voltages.

    L322 Climate control fan problem

That’s awesome. Thanks V8 - if I get stuck I could pop up for some advice, you can’t be far from me. One more quick question. google search for these revealed many LR part numbers for the part id in the diagram. How do i find the right one? Or are they actually all the same?

    L322 Climate control fan problem

Great. Thanks. Do we have a link to the equivalent of RAVE for the L322 on here? I have large hands, which was awkward enough checking the fuses, but i’m up for trying most things. I could with a pointer on the procedure though.

    L322 Climate control fan problem

Hi J. It was Fuse 21, the 40A that I checked and it was fine. I have not got any diagnostics for the L322. What is the hedgehog? Is it 19A874 in the diagram above?
