What did you do with your Range Rover today

Keep us informed keep us updated if you find anything, be good to have mine solid but it’s not a major issue as even under braking it doesn’t seem to move, sometimes i wonder if it’s just play in the various parts and they are a big heavy seat with only 1 fixing at the base to floor nothing to...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Both my front seats do that. Can’t feel it sat in seat but when pushed from behind it moves a good inch or so at the top of the seat, (although the whole back moves) I put it down to way it’s built and size of the seats although by 2004 td6 has slight movement but not as much as my 06 4.2, which...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Local tyre place and mechanic (separate firms) sell loads of landsails, no comebacks from talking to them, iv had them on mine a few times including there landsail “winter lander” winter tyre and that was decent enough. Good tyre for the price in my view, is it as good as the Pirelli scorpion...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

My supercharged has light grey wheels that were painted on the car.. faint grey line going down the black Brembo calipers. Now got silver paint and will order a can or two of 2k lacquer and repaint them, light grey goes ok with the odd bits of chrome and Buckingham blue but prefer silver.

Had a disco 2 td5 that used to do that, two years I owned it and never got round to fixing it. Starters seem to limp on a while.

    Insurance premiums !!

Strange that unless when I phoned it was a very recent thing they had brought in. Always liked Nfu as in when you phone it’s in Britain and no wait on phone but couldn’t justify there crazy prices.

    Insurance premiums !!

Were you all ready with them?

    Insurance premiums !!

Just renewed mine, used to be with Nfu then they wanted £1000 so went to LV, who said £780 on my td6. But then wanted £2000 on the 4.2s so used money supermarket and it came in at £860 with esure, nightmare to deal with as there one of a handful that require proof on Ncd but there site isn’t...

    L322 Continuous beep from dash

Hard to tell, to me it was more dash centre/ instrument pack, know that duct goes up to fan in the main electrical box, I had it with my td6 like a chirp noise and that came from that way from the fan in the box, this is like a higher pitch park sensor.

    L322 Continuous beep from dash

Forgot to say it’s a 2006 4.2sc, so cross over bmw/ Ford years.

    L322 Continuous beep from dash

    L322 Key programming

Possibly a similar thing used by our local guy then, if a lock and key are worn together that’s probably why iv had to fettle any new key from him to make it run smooth, nothing major just like run a file over the points just to take that initial sharp point off etc.

    L322 Key programming

I have heard they can be funny about it. Like I say we do have a couple of local cobblers/ key cutting places only downside is one only opens half a week and other doesn’t seem great with keys, had a few house keys done and had to give them a bit of a fettle with a file to get them running...

    L322 Key programming

Orderd the flip type yesterday so hopefully that will come Friday, then we have a couple of timpsons, and local key cutting places so hopefully at least one will do the cutting, then try the programming.

    L322 Key programming

Need to go back to the old days of a key as in metal with bit of plastic on the end, cheap, reliable and secure in comparison to all this keyless stuff.

    L322 Key programming

Think all dealers have your pants down for keys. LR don’t seem as bad as some, friend of mine has a newish C class and paid nearly £400 for a key!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Tax on mine is high rate, nearly £700 a year probably same as yours? That’s why I skipped the 3.6 didn’t fancy the turbo or egr or cracked manifold issues, 4.2 seems a very good engine mines booked in for a new thermostat as it over cools on motorway/ down hill, and not a cheap job but they have...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

True that, think every big car iv had all had paint/ scrapes etc on bumpers. That’s older cars though keep rust chasing, once iv sorted this I’m not spending a fortune on it, I’ll weld it myself, get a mate who’s a sprayer to do the paint one weekend, where it meets rear bumper I’m thinking...
