I see where you are coming from, but I always look at it from the viewpoint of can I make it as well for the same money or less?
Plus you are paying for the convenience factor.
I'm also guessing they are using experienced operatives who these days are in short supply for this type of skill and...
Got the full all singing all dancing loom from auto sparks.
Still trying to find time to fit it.
Seems a quality product for a fair price.
Put it this way, it would cost me triple in time and money to make it myself.
My only complaint is that the wires are not labelled.
Colour coding is fine, if...
Thank you.
I'm trying to test the resistor before I reassemble the casing.
I've still got to buy a new motor as the old one is kaput π
Well, I've tried it on a 12v supply and it doesn't move!
Hopefully reassembly commencing today.
Just a thought, how does one test the resistor without a volt meter?
J rig a bulb and see if one wire makes it shine brighter than the other?
TIAπ
Evening all.
Just taking apart the heater blower (guessing the motor is dead βΉοΈ) ready for a clean up and found this inside
Any idea what it is and what it does?
Thank you π

The Richards series 3 lwb chassis I bought doesn't have the bracket for the intermediate pipe.
However, their series 2 lwb chassis on their website does!
Mine is definitely a S3 (prefix N)
My original chassis, in the photo, did have the bracket.
The exhaust is definitely the correct one for the...
Update:
The new chassis is missing a bracket.
As highlighted on photos of the old chassis
I don't suppose anyone knows if they are available and from where?

Afternoon campers.
Trying to fit a new exhaust to Noel.
It's a ****part exhaust (temporary measure, it was cheap!) fitted on to a Richards galvanized chassis.
Ive worked out the bracket locations for the rear
And middle
But I'm sure there should be something here?
I've got this bracket...
It seems Noel doesn't hate me after all.
Yes, I was made to remove the bulkhead support.
Yes, I had to drill and tap the front stud.
But the awkward ones at the back, I squared up with a grinder, hammered on a small socket and wow! They unwound π
