My wiring harness is on it's last legs

I see where you are coming from, but I always look at it from the viewpoint of can I make it as well for the same money or less? Plus you are paying for the convenience factor. I'm also guessing they are using experienced operatives who these days are in short supply for this type of skill and...

My wiring harness is on it's last legs

Got the full all singing all dancing loom from auto sparks. Still trying to find time to fit it. Seems a quality product for a fair price. Put it this way, it would cost me triple in time and money to make it myself. My only complaint is that the wires are not labelled. Colour coding is fine, if...

    Series 3 Snail heater blower

Thank you. I'm trying to test the resistor before I reassemble the casing. I've still got to buy a new motor as the old one is kaput πŸ˜• Well, I've tried it on a 12v supply and it doesn't move!

    Series 3 Snail heater blower

Hopefully reassembly commencing today. Just a thought, how does one test the resistor without a volt meter? J rig a bulb and see if one wire makes it shine brighter than the other? TIAπŸ‘

Swap grill and headlights from 2A to 3

Don't know if it's as simple as just unbolting the front panel. Pretty sure when I did mine, they were a mix of bolt's, rivets and spot welds.

    Series 3 Exhaust bracket locations

To be fair, I looked at the pictures on Richards chassis and the only one with the bracket is the s2 chassis. The S3 chassis on their site doesn't show it. But, why did my old chassis have it and why did the new exhaust come with the support to mount to that bracket?! 😁

    Series 3 Exhaust bracket locations

I've fitted the exhaust without the intermediate bracket, but it is not 100% secure in my mind.πŸ‘

    Series 3 Exhaust bracket locations

The Richards series 3 lwb chassis I bought doesn't have the bracket for the intermediate pipe. However, their series 2 lwb chassis on their website does! Mine is definitely a S3 (prefix N) My original chassis, in the photo, did have the bracket. The exhaust is definitely the correct one for the...

    Meet Noel

It seems Noel doesn't hate me after all. Yes, I was made to remove the bulkhead support. Yes, I had to drill and tap the front stud. But the awkward ones at the back, I squared up with a grinder, hammered on a small socket and wow! They unwound πŸ˜€
