AMR3321 is what I have fitted to my disco 300tdi in to early 110 and it's sits bang on half way (and then slightly over when I forgot to open the radiator muff!) I have the one from Steve parkers too and that only sits at 1/4.

Before spending a penny on bolt on bits, Make sure you check the entire thing properly for rust ... And then getting it in good mechanical shape.

Still think the valve clearances need checking, Seems like something that gets neglected quite a lot

Just pulled the tensioner back, there is a lot more slack in the belt then there first was but still no noise :D

The outer diameter of the pulley Inc the lip is 52mm, so presumably the 49mm pulley not the earlier 61mm, I have a 1580 belt on so it's correct?

I've always bought dayco belts and they've always squeeled quite bad, especially on full lock and they seem to fit quite loose. Tried a gates belt today, completly different material and went on really tight, no belt squeel and the full lock noise has gone. With the tensioner pulled back, you...

With a 1.66 transfer box mine is revving it's nuts off at 60, relativly quick off the line though.
