    Hi, You need to look that the belt was done, and all the stufs are working. The EGR can leak, better if has been changed. The Mot should be with no advice at all. 2014 models have some options like reversing camera that are good to have. Pay attention that ED4 are only front wheel drive.

    Hi, The TD4 on the FL2 is pretty solid, the engine come from Peugeot and it not prone to faillure. So the garage didn’t give any cote, except it cost too much. And don’t doubt it offer you a little money get you rid of the car ! I hear that a lot of time, it’s old car, doesn’t worth to fix...

    The prop shaft was removed :eek: I missed that part. 💰So an IRD , a propshaft, and a refurbished VCU is needed.

    Hi, For the rust, check the front wishbones, the tank cradle and the silencer exhaust, they can be eaten by rust. I am still trying to save the tank cradle, by removing rust and putting rust-oil, but I will certainty need to replace it. I had the change the silencer and the wishbones on my car...

    Hi, The previous howner failled to the MOT and sells it at breaker price ! The MOT guy saw the MOT history, and gave you the car back. Can be fixed, but can cost more than a car in better condition. Remember it’s a 20 year old car, some parts are hard to get when you need to replace them...

    Hi, Why in the first place you want to disconnect the alarm. Don’t think a fuse remove will disable It. You on the fuse box cover, all fuses number are indicated. Regards

    Hi, Diesel smell ... you have some unburnt diesel, so can be injectors, the hp fuel pump or a bad fuel pipe. Best way to spot a bad injector is to do a fuel return test. Regards.

    Hi, If the bearings keep failling, you have certainly have an issue, somewhere, can be the VCU, diff monts, uv joints, the IRD or the tires.
