    Defender wind deflectors

I have these on my Defender and they have been brilliant, not sure if they were standard fitting on my 90XS, but they were on when I bought the Landy at two years old, now 17 years old and they are still perfect, they are fitted in the window channel. I think it says Climair on the sticker...

    90 puma exhaust bracket

Loads of life left on that hanger, a rub with a wire brush and a coat of ku-rust and it will be fine, as mentioned above it is a welded on part of the exhaust, not a separate part.

    Sill to body seal?

Mine have a gap but not as big as that and have expanding foam in there, its been like that ever since I bought it when car was 2 years old. Its now 17 years old.

    Windscreen Vin plate

MOT requires a VIN to be present, as long as your VIN is on chassis or engine bay it should be ok, Below is from MOT inspection manual.

    Steering wobble

I watched a YouTube video of someone curing the death wobble by simply swapping the wheels over, putting front wheels on the back and back on the front.

    Squeeling - UJ - Propshaft

Could be a drive belt making the noise, or clutch plate slipping. UJ would more likely give a clicking or clunking noise and or vibration.

    Lumpy 10p TD5 - D90

Does sound like a fuel pump issue. I had intermittent lumpy running which was cured with a new in tank fuel pump. Luckily it was still under warranty then.

    Cranks but won't start

You could loosen an injector pipe and crank it over and see if you get fuel. Then if not check filter and pump. Assuming you have fuel in the tank which would be the first check,

    clutch alignment tool

Remember those cheap coffee tables from 60's - 80's with round tapered screw in wooden legs, usually sold in Dovecot sale rooms (remember them) perfect clutch alignment tool, all I have ever used, cut the tapered leg down to the size of spigot and away you go, money was tight in those days so it...

How long should a clutch last?

The way the clutch pedal is set up can effect the operation and life of the clutch, especially the release bearing, if you have replaced the clutch master cylinder or worked on the pedal box make sure it is set up correctly with the correct free play.

    Td5 injector confusion

Did you clean the injector seats and use genuine new copper washers and new seals, lots of after market washers are copper coloured steel washers and do not make a good seal, allowing fuel to drain back. They will run without being coded but may have a default running mode like the MAF to keep...

    Td5 injector confusion

They are coded to the engine, have you checked your MAF is working ok, that might have been the original problem.

    Defender advice/differences through the years

If you are going for a TD5, I would recommend you look at 2004 - 2007 models. Especially the XS model, heated seats, aircon, heated front screen, better seats, central locking, alarm, bulkhead removed. Quieter. Etc. But whatever it is check for chassis and bulkhead rot.

My first obvious thought is are you sure your battery is not flat or knackered, clicking solenoid is a classic sign of that.
