What did you do with your Range Rover today

Turns out my vehicle battery is goosed. Just noticed that the clock hasn't moved. Guess I know why it lost sync, but now I guess that means I need a new battery since it'd have to be absolutely dead as a dodo for the clock to stop.

Not that I know of. The bulbs are just friction fit. Sometimes get a bit stuck if they have been in for time. Should just tug out with a little force.

If they are super stuck, I think you need T5 holder.

It does, but the dash was flashing key fob battery low for the last few days. The vehicle does drop sync for fun from time to time, so possibly done that. Usually not an issue.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Sorry, I meant plugs. The loom I was sent was a manufacturered late 99 and it had 3 plugs, I can only assume it is related to dipping mirrors as the mirror plug was different too? Mine only has 2 plugs in the A post/pillar. Could just be my fob batteries are dying and too week to sync maybe...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Ah, that's me **** outta luck then. Mine is a 99, so probably not got the ignition coil. No one breaking P38s seems to have the drivers door loom with 2 pins in the a post. Absolute pain in the butt.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Hypothetically speaking, let's say someone still doesn't have a working door loom because the one sent was the wrong kind, and that same someones P38 has now won't unlock on the fob (key works in drivers door obs). If I put the key in the ignition and turned it, would it resync the fob, or...

Its me thats poorly this time

Jesus tits, I know they say pets take after their humans. Is there an analogy for humans take after their green ovals? Best of luck with the surgery. I would say I'll have a drink for you, but I am sure my liver couldn't handle it. Offt, she can take my temperature any day.

    P38A Limp Home Mode?

I found your post from forever ago where I got the idea to unplug the MAF. Worked a treat. A second hand original unit is ordered, comes with the airbox too, which is handy as mine is held shut with zip ties.

    P38A Limp Home Mode?

Mine is a transition vehicle. So came with Amber lights, and the door looms are pre update (found that the hard way, anyone need a late model drivers door loom?). But has the plastic intake, egr, and 4 wheel TC. Hers is V8 unfortunately.

    P38A Limp Home Mode?

So I have done a lot of googling, checked and prodded a lot of things (Landy Zone comes up a lot, who knew?). Found an old post by Wammers who suggested unplug MAF to see if it changes performance... hey, guess who's MAF is shot? Unplugged it, went round the block, and didn't realise how poor...

    P38A Limp Home Mode?

Howdy, driving the ol' bus and as I came to pull onto a roundabout I suddenly found I had no power, and no ability to rev above about 2-2.5krmp or get above 20mph. I can only presume it is a boost related issue, but I'd have thought I'd get a EML if the turbo stopped building boost. Had a quick...

    Its a P38 V8!!!! I want to swap the engine :)

Seen a company drop in the TDV6 from a Disco 3/4, although they charge around 15k for the conversion, so I imagine even without labour it'd be an expensive job. Seen a few M57s fitted to P38s recently, but it is a labour of love. LS is a common goto, but getting one in the UK isn't cheap. I...

    Classic Michelin XM+S244

Their "guarantee for life" is a bit dog****e. "Oh, your tyre delaminated? But you have a tow bar fitted, so you might've been towing. Sorry, not covered."

I'll give that a go next. It was a purple/black I found a small repair on. Assuming it was a P/O. Unfortunately didn't fix anything splicing in a strong repair. Although I mentioned scrapping it in, a P38 was a dream car from my youth. I've had mine for 10 years, the biggest issue with her is...

I had a spare outstation, so chucked that on. Still no dice.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I might need to borrow a DVM from work then. I really don't trust mine. The door is BeCM controlled. Sorry about the photo of a screen. I assume the break would be between C1383R and the door outstation. My Halfords special DVM just doesn't seem to give consistent results, so putting a halt to...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I had the kick panel out and the grounds are all nice. I did have a bit of corrosion with the black plug, but cleaning it up did nothing. I assume when it broke on you the wire broke but the outer coat didn't?

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Yeah I know, but it is my only working car, so can't afford to have it off the road so I can start tearing out the loom. Was really hoping for an easy fix here.
