I think you'll find many have been tarted up to meet the overpriced UK market. Sit tight and wait for prices to sort themselves out or buy a cheaper model LR which can be modded to be equally as good off road. It's not like there's a shortage of Defenders and I can't for the life of me see that...

I’d agree with this, it sounds like ATS didn’t actually check your system after topping it up with gas? I’ve taken my focus to garages 3x to have ac done over the past few years….each time it lasted no time whatsoever, I’ve bought the gear, read up on it, tested it and recharged it myself and...

Sounds like for this system (combi) the expansion vessel is for the heating system, not the HW

That's pretty poor, do you say that ATS recharged the gas and didn't actually test the system?

I'm no expert but from my limited experience the metal needs to be spotless and ideally, without big gaps between plates. Not always easy to fill them holes with weld.

Might bring the prices back to a more reasonable/realistic level

As nice as it look's there's no way I'd have a new defender (can't afford one), they seem just too reliant on electronics which seems to go wrong on a regular basis if you follow powerful uk on you tube. I really wish the Ford bronco was imported to uk, I'd have one of them in a flash, much...

No problem, I'm not easily offended. I did find the information useful in the other thread thanks :). Not sure I'd have a 2wd landy, I'd just buy a mk 1 freelander if I'd wanted 2wd. Plenty of those around :D
