I'm guessing you might want a nice smooth finish but if not, what about the paint landylee used on the underside of his tub. Its a mottled paint which would cover impurities, Raptor. Probably more suited to wheel arches though if I'm honest. Otherwise a nice hardwearing 2 pack black..

Absolutely this. Having previously had Defenders, I had money set aside which I'd saved for a late Defender. This was before the prices leapt to their current (over priced IMO) levels. Since then I've realised that my 170k 58 plate F2 HSE which is worth about 2-2.5k, does the job off road for...

Unless buying a Defender, that's when people pay champagne money for something that's probably worth beer money.:D

It never ceases to amaze me the Defender :rolleyes:. Just how can such a vehicle be so sought after and highly priced when there's so many things that go wrong with them. I remember replacing the indicator stalk on a few of my previous trucks...joy. My 15 year old 170k miles F2 indicator stalk...

Quite worried, ideally take someone who knows what they're looking at or be sure to check the chassis and bulkhead very closely. There's plenty of fly by night Defender owners out there looking to cash in on the inflated prices and sell their rust heaps for a pretty penny. :rolleyes:
