Just wondering, why and if anyone else is having the pain of logging in. Never had to actually 'log in' previously unless I clear my PC cookies, now its nearly every time I visit this marvellous site. Is it my 'end' or the site 'end'. Anyone else having these issues? thanks

Think Cat 'S' is the old Cat 'C' insurance class, basically a bent structure make's it an 'S' and also it would need re-registering with DVLA

Wow, lots of corrosion for a galvanised chassis, although it suggests the bodywork is the problem in some instances. Presumably the ally bodywork turning to dust?

The joy's of this K series engine, it's amazing that some manufacturers can regularly produce an engine design which rarely suffer this type of problem, Rover obviously failed with this design (yes I know the odd few are reliable) Good luck with your next round of repairs, I would have sold it...

Sounds like around 20mls to the gallon slightly thirsty but its an auto with big tyres so low 20's are probably to be expected.

I'll always disable the stop / start feature in any car I drive, idiotic idea to save a drop of fuel.

I generally use my pc with chrome and adblocker, never get any pop ups.

Not much use now I know but when I did this job I made a steel jig and bolted it in place before chopping out the old crossmember. Maybe the measurements posted by marjon will help. Hopefully its something simple. Good luck

Sounds like could be a nice original one, value is very difficult due to the prices some are asking at the moment. I guess it's what you're willing to pay for it at the end of the day - good luck
