What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Luckily not the death defying "smart..." motorways. Whomever decided to convert the hard shoulder into a driven lane should be publicly shot. They're beyond stupidity and run such high risk of fatality. A friend had an offside rear tyre blow out on his RR Silver Shadow some weeks back. Even...

    Looking for a 4.0l V8

That was my thought too, or at the very least build a garden shed in day and use this for engine building services and then re-use for garden equipment storage duties post engine rebuild. @Nvv , I've been rebuilding RV8's for a good while now. They're very easy engines to rebuild, not at all...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Had a somewhat hairy moment on the M4 Wednesday morning. Trundling along in Lucy at 75mph when the engine just cut out... 🤯 Literally nothing, nada, zilch and zero warning of engine cut out. Luckily was in inside lane, pulled over hazards on. Feck it, up with the lightweight 40kg bonnet and...

I keep an eye on LandyWatch even though I know it's not good for one's health/sanity.

It feels like a Landy's being stolen every 3-5days at the moment 🫤 https://www.facebook.com/groups/landywatch

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Did you also spray the fuel tank with truck bed liner? It's worth doing this as the paint supplied on the tank is dire. I gave mine a thorough two coats prior to fitting.

    Headlights cutting out.

Poor quality crimps/crimping and cable. Many of us have made the mistake of buying and fitting the Boomslang, ending up ripping it out 6-12mths later. Mine had an intermittent high resistant short to the o/s headlamp causing the light to go into dim mode. P!ssed me off tracking down this fault...

    Headlights cutting out.

Measure voltage at o/p of bulkhead wiring for clean/constant voltage for side, headlight, side & headlight and full beam. This will give you base guarantee before wiring in new looms, fuses and relays. If problems persist you only have the old wiring, old fuses in fusebox and light switches...

    Headlights cutting out.

Guys, if you're having headlight wiring issues due to old wiring, previous owner bodges, frequent intermittent headlight failures why no just do the job properly and run new wiring and add relays and fuses. Do as per below and you'll see no headlight failures + with added advantage of reducing...

    1994 front sliding windows

What type of sliding window latches do you have? If std MOD types, unscrew from door and inspect the rear arm function. I had similar with mine and by inserting a small piece of cut to size rubber mat into the arm gap this expanded the arm a gnat's cock enabling the arm to function at correct...

    Smoking Turbo pipe?

Oops, me bad, yes definitely a OneTen. Yes to a 300Tdi 110 exhaust system. The exhaust hanger mounts are near the same locations...what you may have to do to fit well is to rotate the hanger plates. It's worth offering up the complete exhaust loosely onto the hanger/mounts, then adjust and work...

    Smoking Turbo pipe?

Definitely a different downpipe but from there rearward they're the same...give or take the odd shekel. My 200Tdi has Tdi downpipe and 200Tdi/2.5na mid and rear sections. Both of same diameter with only two silencers, one mid-section, one tail end alongside the crossmember. I think this is what...

    Smoking Turbo pipe?

Okay, so you have an ex-MOD 1985 Ninety. This would have been a 2.5n/a engine, now with a 300TDi. The exhaust you need comes in a few options depending on where it's been cut off. The 200 and 300 TDi mid and rear exhaust sections are identical but be prepared to fiddle around with the exhaust...

I too have never understood why flowers are so hugely expensive in France. I once bought the French ex-MiL some flowers for her birthday, this was post divorce. In the local Froggy garden centre there was a cracking Foxglove coloured in resplendent white & green flowers. It looked truly stunning...

127 Rapier FFR unfinished project for sale

You may like to post this for sale with lots of pics on the Military Land Rover FaceBook page. It's very active with folk looking for MOD Landy projects https://www.facebook.com/groups/5193363398 They would also be realistic as to project value.

I've just bought a 101 Ambulance... (YAY ME!)

Can recommend you fit a pair of Facet pumps in parallel. This way if one fails you just swap over the hoses and 12v supply and away you go. Install an additional oversized pre-pump inline filter...and ideally a Filter King with built in regulator before the SU's. This set up is belt and braces...
