P38A Arnott gen 3 air spring too stiff

They're just standard P38 dampers. Nothing fancy.

    P38A Thor engine fuel filter?

I wonder if they felt that with the higher fuel pressure on the Thor it wasn't likely to block. Or the fuel filter they had couldn't handle the extra pressure and deleting it was the easier option. Something to consider if fitting a GEMS filter I guess. Can it candle the fuel pressure?

P38A Arnott gen 3 air spring too stiff

When I bought my car it came with Arnott gen 3 springs which I figured was great. The handling is really good. Hardly any body roll. The only downside is they seem really harsh. Going over a speed bump feels like I'm in a bucking bronco. Not having a standard car to compare to, is this down to...

    P38A Thor engine fuel filter?

Has anyone experienced or heard of Thor injectors bunging up? If not then there probably isn't a problem to fix.

    P38A 1999 Range Rover P38 4.6 Thor

Can the O2 sensors ever be so bad it won't run. I figured the ECU wouldn't allow it to go that far off. Am I right that to fit LPG they splice into the injector harness? Could be a failure point worth checking. It's a shame the injectors are so hidden, would be interesting to stick one in a...

    P38A 1999 Range Rover P38 4.6 Thor

If it is the fuel trim (I had no idea they could go so far off that it wouldn't run) but if they can, it would seem it's running too rich. My reasoning being that unplugging the MAF should make it run richer, so if unplugging the MAF makes it worse, and assuming it's a trim issue, then it's...

    P38A 1999 Range Rover P38 4.6 Thor

I'm guessing you would have spotted this when pulling the rocker covers, but could it be a massive vacuum leak. It will run rich on start up then massively lean out after a couple of seconds if you have a leak. Just out of interest, what happens if you unplug the MAF sensor before starting? I'm...

If your waiting for LR to post you your CoC don't hold your breath. Mine never arrived by post.

P38A Engine Disabled when Fob refused to work

I haven't got one yet. I've been trying to find a second hand one for a while before biting the bullet and ordering new. I'll check out the aerial as the distance thing is annoying.

P38A Engine Disabled when Fob refused to work

My 2000 4.0 P38 did something today that didn't seem right to me. Pulled up at the doctors and couldn't lock the car with the fob. This happens form time to time as I need to be within 1 or 2m of the car for the fob to work. But I couldn't get it to work at all this time. No big deal, I'll just...

    P38A Emissions

What's the specific issue with Turner. My engine was rebuilt by Turner about 7 years ago by the previous owner. Runs great, but if there are issue to come I'd like to know what to expect. I believe being a Turner engine it will have top hat liners which I very much like the idea of.

This is pretty much what I had to do. I registered my car with TFL here https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/compliance-registration/before-you-start

P38A How to find emission data to check ULEZ compliance

As far as I am aware the only way to get a formal reading other than CoC is to get it tested via: Clean Vehicle Retrofit Accreditation Scheme (CVRAS). However I've heard it's prohibitively expensive.

P38A How to find emission data to check ULEZ compliance

I can't see anything that looks like an EGR on my Thor. Other than inlet runner length I think the main difference that improves emissions is the higher fuel pressure. 3.5 bar vs 2.5 bar.

P38A How to find emission data to check ULEZ compliance

You need to register your car with TFL here https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/compliance-registration/before-you-start They need the coc, copy of V5, and a letter from land rover. Land rover refused to give a letter but TFL accepted the V5 and CoC on their own.

P38A How to find emission data to check ULEZ compliance

Don't know. According to this the Euro II standard were specified in directive 94/12/EC for passenger cars, but in directive 96/69/EC for heavy motor cars and light-duty vans. Mine field.

P38A How to find emission data to check ULEZ compliance

What dates are on your COC's. Not the date registered, but the date for Type Approval? I ask because those figures don't meet EURO2 requirements [HC + NOx: 0.5g/km] - https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/emissions/euro-emissions-standards/ They meet EURO 1, but it would have to have been type...
