turbos give the required back pressure. My tdi ran just fine with no exhaust when I rebuilt it

    Wiper motor speed upgrade

nope. Sometimes they do it, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they park and sometimes they don’t, and sometimes they sweep down into the gutter. I am waiting until they properly fail then I will replace it all in one go. It will just be worn wheel boxes

Sounds like timing to me and a fuel issue

Doesn’t actually matter with a turbo’d engine as the turbo creates all the back pressure the engine needs - more critical on a petrol motor

    Wiper motor speed upgrade

You could try it. Keep your old cog in case you want to swap back, could be an interesting mod. although my rack is so worn that sometimes my wipers wipe off the screen at the edges

On my 1991 defender that rubber had perished causing a tinkling mechanical clinking sound that went when I had my hand on the gear stick. I sorted it out by welding between the 2 bits to stop the...

    Defender 5th wheel

Yep used to be one at ascot race course. appeared to be a normal LR but with a 5th wheel on the chassis on a frame and air brake hook ups was cool tbh

    keeping your landy safe

would be a ball ache you wouldn’t be able to steer it by kicking the wheel with your foot and it would be unbalanced and rock over onto a hub. Layered security is best, you just need to make yours less convenient to nick than the one down the road….
