New keys can be had from main dealer with the chassis number. They come from Germany so may well be cheaper for you than the UK now.

    P38A Sticky Flaps

Those two halves come apart. Pretty sure I had mine apart when I had the dash out. I cannot recall what it looks like now but maybe the shafts come out from the centre?

    Central lock

It is on all the time. Unplug it if your fob is broken. Yours will be the GEMS engine (Lucas) and is more integrated with the BECM than the diesel or the THOR.

    Central lock

Probably the RF receiver has been unplugged - under the rear passenger shelf on the driver's side. Dancing locks could be RF interference, a sticky rod in the door or a loose wire somewhere. You need gen 3 receiver or Brain's 2 fob trick. After that, unlock the car with the key. Press fob to...

P38A Head Gasket Kit & ARP Bolts ?

You need a second person to waggle the steering wheel and obviously you need the wheel not to move or you'll be a spline or so out when reconnected and it won't be straight. Other than that it makes getting to that back bolt a lot easier.

    That's what confused me.

P38A Head Gasket Kit & ARP Bolts ?

I don't recall having to touch the power steering? There's the bolt holding the steering shaft if you take that out?

    Clutch for 280-300hp

gearbox should be able to take at least 380 nm. The drive shafts are already heavy duty. Theoretically it probably could take it. M51 engines are tuned up a lot on the bimmer forums. Ask @stu

    Clutch for 280-300hp

Last time I needed something like that I spoke to Clutch fix in Huddersfield. They make them from scratch and make racing ones so can do high temperature ones.

P38A EV Conversion / Hybrid conversion - Pie in the sky thinking

Problem with current hydrogen cars is that you need something like a v8 to make up for the lack of power conpared to petrol.

    P38A Viscous coupling

With a torque wrench on the 32 mm hub-nut you should be able to ease the wheel slowly round with about 110 nm. VCU failure also shows as scrubbing on outside edges of the tyres.

Mine is still on the original bulbs and they seem fine to me. I believe some people use Nightbreakers.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Fitted Engine Guard to my P38A oil burner. Bolted the temperature sensor to the head. It takes a lot longer than the coolant needle to reach a steady temperature but seems to sit between 80C and 90C, admittedly on the inlet side. Maybe I should have put it the exhaust side, although I am...

    P38A Loss of steering/power steering

You need to be very gentle with that tensioner when slackening off the belt. They're known to crack though. I went Land Rover because I had heard of pattern parts failing within 3 years. Cannot recall when mine went on now but it was longer than that. @Rick-the-Pick went through about 3 of them.
