    Freelander 1 Are 2004 Td4's OBDII compliant.

I have an OBD code reader that has always worked on my 04 and up diesels. Are the td4's 04 & up compliant? It tries to connect so there is power but ends with something along the lines of "Make sure your port is connected properly and the ignition is on but not started" etc etc. I also heard...

Freelander 1 Part id (egr related)

Yeah i did notice what a nightmare it'll be to replace :/ The misfire seems very much like a coil pack issue I had on a Saab so I'll do the usual checks on those tomorrow. Appreciate the input.

Freelander 1 Part id (egr related)

And yeah in all honesty I didn't see any noticeable different post blank so I may just get a new/refurbished standard egr. Appreciate the advice as always.

Freelander 1 Part id (egr related)

Ah you've nailed it right on the head there. Mine hasn't got the support, just a tube & separate circular blanking disk. On the plus side (maybe) the gorilla tape worked for 10 mins I had no misfire. Didn't last long. No smoke just missing. Thanks though the unsupported egr is obvious now you...

Freelander 1 Part id (egr related)

Hi again I seem to have burst/split a metal pipe and wondering what the replacement would be. It's the small stainless hose that gets blanked when fitting an egr delete. Recently fit said egr but unsure if the split happened pre or post fitting. I only noticed whilst looking for a solution to...

    Fluid in footwell

Didnt leave window open did u? I had this on the weekend as well as a puddle in the boot/tool space. It was because all my windows were open a tad to air it out. The inside was soaking just from a couple nights of damp night time air. Made worse by the recent heat I think. Hopefully it's...

Freelander 1 Would an 04 Freelander 1 td4 have EGR cooler

Many thanks that's answered in full. I feared i got the wrong one. I may just get a new standard egr in the future if the new mot rules are as stated. Again, greatly appreciated!

Freelander 1 Would an 04 Freelander 1 td4 have EGR cooler

Purchased an EGR bypass kit but it came with extra gaskets/blanking plates for an EGR cooler. Whilst fitting the actual egr i also noticed there's nowhere on the new egr for the small breather pipe that connected to the old one to go. It states it's for my model & i noticed whilst trawling...

    How to sell a Freelander

FB classifieds? I always got told to post there but fb is not for me. I do enjoy eBay vehicle hunting & I think many people browse that by habit. Often buying rubbish they don't need of course xD

Freelander 1 Freelander 1 beer can in place of pipe =.=

Mini update on this. Prop shaft still in place. 4 fairly new matching tyres, although they're Desert Hawks which I've never heard of. Parts for pipe repair aren't here until tues. Tried Euro Car Parts to avoid waiting but didn't get far. Also ordered full service kit including fully synth oil...

Freelander 1 Filled a diesel Freelander 1 TD4 with petrol - is it terminal?

Ah either I got it the wrong way around or it was an ancient non turbo diesel. Either way I stand corrected.

Freelander 1 Filled a diesel Freelander 1 TD4 with petrol - is it terminal?

I think I saw an episode of top gear or something where they tried petrol in diesel and vice versa. I believe petrol in a diesel car had no lasting damage and it even ran ok. Diesel in petrol was to a lesser extent ok. I know it'd be different on all vehicles but fingers crossed

Freelander 1 Freelander 1 beer can in place of pipe =.=

Yeah i can totally relate to that i was always guilty of just always using an Automated car wash on my cars but i had a very shiny black car & it always did the trick. Don't think that's an option any longer with the roof bars. I see you're nr Newquay :D Monkey Tree jetwash is another handy...

That would be quite the ordeal for me I thank my lucky stars I made it home at least. I'm glad I noticed AFTER the standstill motorway traffic as I would have had a meltdown
