    Shot-blasting steel wheels

Just had mine done. Look great in black. They were a real state before they went in. Shot blasting and powder coating is about £40 a wheel + vat.

Series 3 Doriz LR illness 109”

I got my gleaming shot blasted and painted wheels back yesterday, £160 well spent. Now to look for rubber. Paddocks do 7.50 x 16 Security ML814 Tube Type Tyre @£118 a corner. Anyone bought these?

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Brake update. Plenty of air in the system and the fluid was a caramel colour. All changed including a replacement Wabco abs sensor on the front left albeit a repurposed rear cable. I also rubbed down and resprayed the rear bumper.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Brakes flushed through and it needed it. Caramel coloured BF and some air. However, the ABS is still kicking in when braking. Attention has turned to a cheap aftermarket ABS sensor as the issue.

    Extra fob battery connector?

£12 in P38 diy repair cost appears cheap to me. Maybe someone on here has one and might be kind enough to let you have it, let’s see.

Here it is with all the tape removed. It’s and old harness judging by the crispy tape.

Series 3 Doriz LR illness 109”

I removed the oil bath air filter yesterday to get better access to remove the engine harness. Anyway, I thought I’d shove it on the bench and have a look. I did notice a bit of residual oil on the cradle which I thought was odd. On taking it apart, no oil. Poured in some diesel and there is a...

Series 3 Doriz LR illness 109”

I haven’t unravelled the tape yet (as I’m sick of being covered in oil) however, in essence yes. 4 big fat brown wires connect to starter, assume two of which loop to the alternator. In addition there are the engine temp, oil pressure and starter exciter wires. Plus a wire I cannot yet identify...

Nope. Wires trace back to the 8 pin plug.

The starter motor plug is spliced in so likely not standard. Looks like this https://www.autosparks.co.uk/land-rover-defender-90-110-engine-wiring-harness-6

Series 3 Doriz LR illness 109”

I removed the engine wiring harness today, well half an hour ago as the alternator and starter are on the bench. Well ffs besides being drenched in oil, there are wear through rub marks, chopped in butt joints and missing terminations. I’ve looked on line at a replacement - forward of the 8 pin...

    Windscreen Rubber

I bought the Britpart rubber and it split in the corner in no time. Went in easy, may have been unlucky, or might have caused the problem fitting it.

They are great in principle. When they play up and don’t return they are a nightmare. The passenger always needed resting on the auto adjust and the driver dipped down and you had to contort to see out of it 🤣

Refitted the passenger door trim. Pumped up the tyres. Was planning to hoover and wash, though it’s too hot tbh. Oh, and disabled those annoying dipping wing mirrors.
