    I think if the relay is getting hot then it is under specked for the current passing thru it the loose connection could of course also cause that

    the in car linkage goes to the transfer case in line with the two props so if you crawl underneath you will see the linkage and maybe just a tap with the no 1 Land Rover tool

    living in the global south with perfect weather all the time i have no idea of why a grill cover is needed surely the engine is producing more heat than can be frozen by the air even at highway speeds

    Question is confusing but maybe this might help on my D1 300 tdi the aircon fans switch on when my temp sender 1 inch from there gets to 96 deg c the in dash gauge isnt connected to those two sets of temp senders

    i am guessing but I suspect the fan pulley is the same size as the crank pulley and a white stripe on a fan blade might work well

    I have the two screw system - stainless - about a half inch apart for my D1 coolant level linked to my madman system no issues for over ten years now i was thinking that striping the cap system apart might work as the float and electrics are all present

    Grrrrrrr on my D1 the brake reservoir has a level detector as part of the cap after 25 years it still works so an off the shelf solution might exist
