    mine is a D1 so that "breather hole " is covered by a plate with a bearing on it for the aircon belt tensioner not sure if this is the answer you were looking for

    Mine is the same as that one the only issue I had was that both inlet and outlet don't have a little raised lip like the original - so the silicone pipes in my case didn't want to seal nicely and a better set of hose clamps was required

    I think the "core plug' is tapered so it cant fall inwards. In the global south we call them a welsh plug though Lucky it's that one that's leaking as there is one at the back of the motor as well I have had one blow out 30 mins of driving after picking it up from my mechie who replaced them...

    It will bleed - but as soon as pressure is needed to push the clutch fork the fluid takes the path of easiest resistance and in my case that is back into the reservoir

    mine did the same for many years till it wore out while doing 60 on the road you just need to switch off while still driving and then on again a second later and it clears till the next time no need to even take it out of gear

    this is for a discovery 1 300 tdi 97 model so a square reservoir if someone has a master handy and can tell what it looks like in the bottom of the reservoir it would be much appreciated i have a hole going straight through into the cylinder which would explain why I can't get pressure
