    Coolant colour change.

Inorganic Acid Technology (IAT), - IAT is mainly used in older vehicles, is usually bright green, and has to be replaced every 30,000 miles. Organic Acid Technology (OAT), = OAT antifreeze/coolant is usually orange, yellow, red, or purple, and lasts much longer — 150,000 miles — but doesn’t...

    Disco 1 ~1000rpm throttle deadspot/kangarooing, Discovery 300tdi auto

If you have edc then its on number 4 fuel injector - so some sort of wire must be attached to the injector and might be worth a try and unplug it to see what happens in africa we didn't get many or any of the edc 300 tdi's so am taking a guess here

    Radiator replacement

the threads on those oil cooler pipes is a fine thread - easy to cross thread and then bugger them up completely when you apply the spanner to it then the top oil cooler hose can be a bastard to get the thread to start and that for me was a hit and miss affair

    Defender 1997 2.5.. gears catching.

    Intercooler frustration!

If its the double core allisport it will be the best thing you will ever do to the 300 tdi - well besides getting boost at 1.2 bar The pipes in and out of the intercooler don't have that same "bulge" on the ends so the pipes have a tendency to not seal as well - evident by an oil smudge - get...

So that heater bypass might be a key - they are a known weak point and leak If it is indeed the heater leaking i am surprised you didn't pick up the smell of anti freeze in the cabin and the drivers side carpet should be wet on the left top If the heater matrix leaks it allows pressure to...

    300TDi injector pump pipe question

    300TDi injector pump pipe question

When I still had my egr valve fitted on the D1 300 tdi that rubber thing used to have a pipe connected to the egr It now goes into a 1 L coke bottle as it leaks about 500 ml per 1000 km So I suspect it was designed to allow the small amount of diesel that would normally leak into the chamber...
