    Great british LR Show Stoneleigh

Judging by your pics it wasn't as muddy as i thought it would be given the recent rain.

Announcing the wonderful LandyZone Full Member Subscription and stuff

I'm not happy to say mine auto renewed this year! I miss the endless attempts i made last year to renew my membership and the endless paypal screen of 'something went wrong, please try again later'. I didn't notice this year. I only saw i'd renewed when i looked at paypal for something else and...

    Disco 2 Fuel leak

Ah, but you forget, in Land Rover's eyes, you wouldn't need access because nothing would ever need accessing... ;)

    Disco 2 Fuel leak

Yes, remove the metal strip that holds the edage of the carpet in place next to the bumper, then peel back the carpet from under the storage boxes to reveal a plate in the floor. Remove the plate to get access to the fuel pump and sender. You don't need to drop the tank. The biggest pain in the...

Does anyone with a 101 ambulance know what should fit here?

Sadly mine is still a 'manly V8'. The fuel tank(plastic) that came with the Chinese heater is useless as is. It's about 400mm square and about 100mm thick with the filler in the top corner. It comes with a hose connector that you poke through from the inside with rubber washers and a nut. I...

Does anyone with a 101 ambulance know what should fit here?

I took a pic of Shed when i got back home from work this morning. I think the sky brings out the blue of me Beemer and the grot on Shed's windows something grand! 😍

Does anyone with a 101 ambulance know what should fit here?

It makes sense, and given the existing holes i think it's prime candidate for where the Chinese plastic jobby i just bought off ebay might end up going.

    L322 2002-2005 Heater Matrix Replacement

Well done sir! I've only ever had to change one heater matrix and that was in a Citroen ZX which are prone to matrix failure. My mechanic cousin says the best way to prevent faiure is to adhere to the manufacturer's recommended coolant replacement intervals. Like brake fluid, coolant change is...

Does anyone with a 101 ambulance know what should fit here?

It's the box behind the passenger seat. There is an odd bracket/lever thingy, plus a removable mesh inside of an external louvre vent and a couple of large holes. One goes into the cabin and another towards the back. I'm guessing the two holes i found in the cab floor behind the seats under a...

I've just bought a 101 Ambulance... (YAY ME!)

I see Able Engineering are now selling a steel 'single' reservoir. Seeing that it's a standard Girling item i goodled brake reservoir and the cheapest i've found, all be it in plastic, was quite shockingly cheap! £13.16 each. The Girling one is £40.38 plus VAT...

Crikey, i hope YOU aren't paying for the fuel!

I've just bought a 101 Ambulance... (YAY ME!)

Seriously, if it gets THAT bad i'll place it on bricks on the front patio, paint some flowers on the side and declare it an art installation!

I've just bought a 101 Ambulance... (YAY ME!)

No, not yet. That'll be the first thing i do once i've got the brakes sorted. I've got Monday and Tuesday booked off as holiday so all being well i'll be collecting four front wheel cylinders, all flexible pipes and a set of brake pipes from 101parts first thing on Monday. I'm aiming to be...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Fingers crossed nothing is broken! Hopefully it's just bruising. I haven't 'bounced' for a while, but at 58 and after several hours over a couple of days on my knees 'praying' to my brakes, i'm discovering i have bum muscles that are aching like hell! This is why i like to drive my vehicles the...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Ah, my brakes hit hot all of the time. At least i think they must be getting hot 😁 I haven't looked at the adjusters beyond ensuring they were all backed fully off. To be honest, i bought it with binding brakes. I had to get it recovered from the seller to mine. I was hoping someone else had...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Finished the last corner of replacing the brake shoes on my 101. Still quite depressed as even with all the adjusters still fully backed off they are binding as soon as i got pressure back on the pedal.

I've just bought a 101 Ambulance... (YAY ME!)

Spent four hours on my knees earlier and got both back brakes replaced and reasembled and the driver's front. Had to trim a couple off mill of both ends of the back shoes to get the drum back on and the same on the front... TWICE! Once wasn't enough. Trimmed the remaing two shoes too so i'm...

I've just bought a 101 Ambulance... (YAY ME!)

If you mean are the shoes centralised about the hub centre, i got them as central as i could by using my thumb against the back plate lip with a flat blade screw driver resting on the lining and then moving my thumb up towards the top of the shoe and then tapping the shoe up or down to get a...

I've just bought a 101 Ambulance... (YAY ME!)

Alright, nobody likes a show off 😁 😁 😁 A mate at work reckoned he'd had this problem in the past and he got around it by grinding a mill or so off each end of the shoe. I did offer up the old shoes to the new and at first glance the metal part looked to be identical. I'll have a closer look...

I've just bought a 101 Ambulance... (YAY ME!)

I could do, but it has been chucking it down all day today, which is why i went to work today and got frustrated on the 101 yesterday.
