If I remember right, when the regiments was returning from Germany permanently after unification. Kinloss became a army camp to cater for the tanks sqd. It was a shame about the Nimrod's later being too expensive for renewal plus the crashes added to the final demise. We used to have a Piper...

I was at Kinloss 1985-88 in supply as a bod SAC Nimrod first line stores later on in Electrical Supplies but I did a year stint at lossie when Kinloss had the runway relaid. I remember seeing the RAF regiment a lot there. Great time being up there and enjoy the peace of life and the fresh air...

What does this do, and how do I connect it please?

Quite possibly as the overseas market might dictate engine supplied. As for the military, they choose the most weakest ones that have their tongue hanging out on hills. Popular version was petrol compared to diesel plodders but the bulkhead would still have the same fittings for diesel. Same...

What does this do, and how do I connect it please?

Looks like a ballast spring as mentioned for diesel. I had one for my old 1983 ninety 2.25. I had to push a plug for 10 seconds before starting the engine ignition fully.

Land Rover series 3 colour confusion

What colour is the engine bay, if the colour not original there a good chance only the outside painted red. Inside behind the dash also were the vents or under gearbox shroud. What is the age for the vehicle?

Do they still have a Capri meet near the old plant like the Escorts do.

I would just like to say

Driving a Capri was scary, but it is was joyful. You needed wider tyres for the rear or ballast especially for the 3.5. a mate of mine in Carterton near Witney at the time loan me his Capri 1.6 lime green. Whatever he did to it, was a nightmare to drive under thirty, it shook the steering as you...

I would just like to say

Just dug out a old article 1984 RAF Personnel abroad in Belize. C.A. Then I was promoted to RAF Corporal. As you can see, I was younger then and very dedicated to my work as a helicopter refueller. I didn't tan well just looked like cooked beetroot. Uniform reflect a typical airman adapting to...

Didn't help matters when I got jabbed several times. The only thing I could think of was strip my jacket and stand out in the downpour to calm myself down from panicking. I had to walk to the small medical hut saturated for emergency help. Lucky enough I described it as a black scorpion, which...

Did you eventually find a scorpion. You end feeling like **** for a couple of weeks. I had a scorpion in my rain mac when I was in the jungle 1984. Little blighter stung me several times before I managed to get rid of it. As the only helicopter refueller for the camp I felt I had the flu for two...
