Freelander 2005 TDE HSE aux cable/bluetooth connector solution

IIRC, cup holders on top do have to come out (screws below?) as @kernowsvenski says. centre console slides back with screws out from rear of it around handbrake, and 1 each side in the front footwells. You have to shimmy the gear lever surround up and out of the way. Sounds hard, but it is...

We have a bunch of copper pots and pans hanging from a block off the kitchen ceiling. Great for… gathering dust.

This is a good point… a lower than average mileage with DPF could be cause to look closer, as @Arctic2 says. They need a good run to regen and keep them clean. You can remove the swirl flaps if you are ok with a little diy. They are great cars to work on due to the size of them - room to get...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Although the ‘book’ says to not use any grease, I put a smear of silicone grease on the new ARB bushings I just installed, after cleaning the bar to within an inch of its life and rust-treating it (there was only a few tiny patches). Silicone grease is great for rubber, and should help prevent...

I have the SE, which at the time missedthe arm rests, full leather (mine has half) and I think a different audio system, though the one in mine is very capable indeed, with a large sub-woofer in the back. CD’s sound superb in it, with no distortion. Mine is a ‘08 but a very comfy and fun car to...

Decided against it - only had a couple of hours today, and looking at the job, it’s another PITA! I’ll save it for when I have a whole weekend… just in case!

    Help!

Yes - I sent it to Matt along with the ECU. He tested the valve prior to doing the mod. Got the whole job (rear subframe and suspension/driveshaft renewals) completed yesterday and road tested - scrabbling has gone

    Help!

… in fact, I’ve just had my Haldex module fixed by Matt as above. It was scrabbling at pull-away. 3 days later, module back and scrabble gone. Great service and would not hesitate to recommend. (In fact, when I spoke to Matt, he said if the fix didn’t work, I was welcome to send the ECU back...
