Builder did pop in today for a quick measure up (of my wallet?) and said the job will be done Friday. :D

Shhhhh...... don't break the brake. We need to put a brake on all these broken brakes without breaking the brake. ;)

.... lawn mowed (last time for this year). Back is now in spasm and my knee aches. :( But all the wood is stored away safely, the lawn looks OK and I have earned brownie-points. I may not have to go shopping tomorrow. :D

24 sacks of firewood arrive a day early. Down to shifting the last 8 off the driveway to various storage places. :) That French woman is here again. Y'know who I mean? Madam Backertz. :D

...question from me incoming.... How easy is it to mangle a cheap £2 13mm steel box-spanner? i.e. to get it to burst, distort or round out? Anyone managed it easily?

I got my new glasses today, they are very good TBH. Should be at that horrendous price!!! Also got the optician folks to write my scrip in a legible hand because I could not read what they had written which sort of precludes me from shopping online for glasses (I wonder why they write it so...
