Freelander 1 Does brake light switch need to register

Check the switch is properly fitted, any movement means it is not. There are two blue plastic contacts on the top of the switch where it fits to the car, I can only assume that these need to be clicked in to place before the switch works, this can only happen if the switch is fitted correctly...

    Suspension raise

I fitted the 40mm kit from muddy mods as well I didn’t extend the brake pipes but did have to change them as the back ones were shot on the connections and wouldn’t come apart to get the strut out I was lucky with the front as the track rod ends where only a year old so came off easy.

    Freelander 1 Engine change

I like the idea of doing the conversion but I personally couldn’t justify the cost and not to mention fact I don’t know my arse from my elbow when it comes to the engine side of things. 177 bhp isn’t to shabby, is the handling effected at all with the extra weight on the front?

    Freelander 1 Engine change

There’s a group on Facebook just for Freelander 1.8 turbos.Theres a short video of a freelander with some sort of Subaru engine in it and another with a v8 of some sort, but I couldn’t imagine massive amounts of work so the 1.8 turbo will probably be the easiest option. As for the v6 I thought...

I would run it and see if it brakes but I literally do around 3k a year in the silver one so couldn’t justify having two on the road.I understand a little bit in the oil is ok/common in older cars, but it was when he showed me the end of the cam sensor it was like a metallic paste?ij the timing...

Yeah the HG was done in 2017 I think judging by the oil that came out it’s was like a metallic tercel changed it with 10w40 and had the cam seals replaced and timing belt(oil was changed before and hesitation was there but not as bad) Think I’m going to break her which is a shame as I love...

Been slacking with getting the car ready to give it to my father in law so I gave it a basic service and noticed a nice metallic shade to the thick old oil and there was a thick silver metallic goo on the camshaft sensor and a oil puddle around one spark plug. The car which was running alright...

Freelander 1 Newbie fed up with garages ripping me off

Brush wise I used an old alloy wheel brush and just straightened the wire out ended up about 40cm long and just the right diameter for the manifold.
