Any ways to check wheel alignment without lazer kit??

And it's a cat s then? 6k seems a lot. But then you may have had it covered for a lot and 6k is whatever the percentage works out at. Probably can't really make the choice without knowing what the payout is though. Not that that is what you were asking at all! Sorry.

Tow in / out can be bodged with some string with reasonable success. Other angles I'm not so sure about.

Disco 1 seat belt buckle / surround

I think I've got one. I'll look tomorrow if I remember.

300Tdi Defender won’t start when glow plugs are on

My guess would be a faulty relay. Hypothesis - volt drop from the plugs stops the relay (I'm talking the cube things, not the solenoid) from being able to energise properly. I mean it's just a guess, but thats what I'd go with first.

What's the difference - FUB500060 vs LR031337 (station wagon rear locks)

The existing one has to be wobbled just right to enable it to close. I've tried doing "stuff" to it to limited advantage. Plus it's not central locking. I know you can mod them but I was all set to buy a new one anyway, so I'll just get the one with the bar sticking out the side while I'm at...

What's the difference - FUB500060 vs LR031337 (station wagon rear locks)

Do you know the part number of the catch you have? Different web sites seem to say different things. And is the key the same (type) as the ignition barrel or is it like the original locks?

What's the difference - FUB500060 vs LR031337 (station wagon rear locks)

I'm going to buy one of the ones from sp. I'm meaning the welded ones rather than the pressed ones. My 110 is a 300tdi, but, again, I'm going to put a new door on it as the original is way beyond repair!

What's the difference - FUB500060 vs LR031337 (station wagon rear locks)

I forgot to say... If you search the part numbers on the jaguar landrover page, you get this image - For both part numbers? Ie same image. Same text in bottom right.

What's the difference - FUB500060 vs LR031337 (station wagon rear locks)

I'm planning on getting a new door as well. I've seen rusted puma ones so I reckon the box section hot dipped galvanized one is actually preferable, unless someone can convince me otherwise? So if I get a box section door, its the FUB500060? Does the FUB500060 use the 16mm barrels? If not I...

What's the difference - FUB500060 vs LR031337 (station wagon rear locks)

I need a new latch for my csw rear door. May as well get one with central locking bar... Two part numbers, different pricing, can't tell the difference. I think they both need the 20mm barrel. Anyone know what's what? Thank you.

    Overheating 300TDI

The fuel filter being mounted off the bulkhead indicates a engine swap. To the OP - If you're going to start swapping bits, you need a sender with the black band, as you can't get defender style gauges to match the disco green band sender. Then a defender gauge, as people generally just leave...

Is there anyone with a 101 ambulance who wants £30 to...

Mine isn't like any other I've seen. Looks like one of those cylindrical bike lock keys. Yours, I assume, looks more like the front door keys?

    Freezing Diesel inline filter

It wouldn't solve other issues but if you were to just boil your kettle and dribble it over that filter, it would have resolved that (single) issue, without even having to remove it.

Does anyone with a 101 ambulance know what should fit here?

I tried to break the bead once in a standard landrover alloy. I ended up making some sort of t shaped lever out of 2x4 with me hanging off the end of it and the "hinge point" being a dumpy bag of hardcore. Still didn't get any success. Gave up and sawed the tyre off with a sawzall, which...

Does anyone with a 101 ambulance know what should fit here?

My partner has a fl2. I tried to take a 101 wheel to the fitter in that once, gave up trying to fit it in, and used the 110 instead! Have you concluded what tyre size you are going for?

I think you can plug them into a computer too (with a wire). I can't remember the detail but i seem to recall doing that with mine once for some reason.

Night heater / pre heater exhaust position?

Lots of people seem to have various eberspacher / webasto / Ali express heaters on their defenders. Where is the inlet and exhaust normally mounted? They have little silencers, right? Are they used? Thank you

I've just bought a 101 Ambulance... (YAY ME!)

Re tyres / tires - I had / have xzl on mine but they've perished before getting worn out. I'm about to swap to 15" rims and I'll put 35x12.5x15 on then, which are a much easier to get size. I mean you can go online to any number of retailers and even have a choice of manufacturer. Side wall...

Does anyone with a 101 ambulance know what should fit here?

I've been planning on extending it for years. I had a really slick layout in cad for a 2 person setup and then we had a (very much desired, but didn't think it was going to happen) child and 3 people and 2 whippets don't really fit too well. I'm still trying to work out what to do. The...
