    Is it the same set up as the 6 speed with the mechanical selector on the side that seizes up?

    It gets worse..

    More likely to be camshaft bearing shifted causing massive loss of oil pressure, and as you drove it for a few miles with little to no oil pressure I would say investigation might just be a waste of your money.

    Buy part, buy official LR aerosol paint, paint part and refit it with a blob of silicone sealant to stop it falling off again.

    So long as roughly the same then no worries, unless they are all amazingly low! I would say maybe get injectors reconned and leave it at that on the engine health front.

    As I understand it the lock up is hyd controlled via the torque convertor, so it could be low/crap oil or the tc clutch is worn?

    New guard fitted, through work cost 160 quid. Top tip do not change guard with a full tank of fuel. Forgot to take piccy!

    As a rough rule flexible hoses are measured inside diameter, and rigid pipe is measured outside diameter.

    Chain and wire grease aerosol sprayed on the inside a few years back seems to have kept the worst of it at bay, very bottom lips are a bit crusty, but only surface rust that I can see, and I aint going digging!

    All much of a muchness, I always found the td5 to be as flat as a wet fart when off boost, but then so were the tdis before it.

    Well worth trying the syn gearbox oil, transforms the r380 box. Think difflock site sold it, though there may be other places now.
