Wipers not working, but washers are

Hopefully then it's just a poor contact on the motor, clean them up. I think sorting the additional fuse box should be on your to do list.

My son's tdi has glass fuses, almost all were wrong size when he bought it. You are right the contacts need cleaning every now and again.

    Electrical - starting fault/issue (seeking help/advice) - 1996 Defender 110 300TDI

It needs to be live to let fuel through. For testing purposes you can get a length of wire from the battery live terminal, or other live, and connect to the shut off valve. Then try starting it, if it starts you have a wire problem for the shut off valve. You will need to pull the wire off to...

    Electrical - starting fault/issue (seeking help/advice) - 1996 Defender 110 300TDI

Have you checked its getting fuel when you crank it? If its the same as a 200tdi there will be a fuel shut off valve on the back of the injection pump with one wire going to it.

Good luck with that wiring. It looks rather random on that added fuse box, do you know what any of that is for?

Discovery 1 steering box in discovery 2

Take the box out, take to local garage to apply some heat and the steering arm will come off. Fit a decent seal kit and job done. Or cut a slot in the arm with a grinder, bear in mind a good steering arm isn't cheap. I broke a SP puller the first time, bought the proper puller the 2nd time and...

    Disco 1 300TDI No Start

Not sure if it's been mentioned but it's quite a good idea to run clear fuel hose from filter to injection pump, good for keeping an eye out for air bubbles. Good you've got it running.

    Water pump bolts TDI

They go through the ali water pump, through timing chest cover into the block. So, bit of everything.

    Water pump bolts TDI

Disco 200tdi. Going to change the water pump bolts while I am there. High strength stainless cap heads or like for like with plenty anti seize paste?

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Did it on my R380, you do have to slide the transfer box backwards a bit, so it's almost out but no heavy lifting needed.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Good work. I guess now isn't the time to tell you the intermediate shaft o ring can be changed it situ.

How did you feed the loom into the cab?

Down the side of the snorkel and across the wing and through the massive gap between the back of the bonnet/wing/bulkhead. Works on a Ninety anyway, bulkhead slightly different on a TD5

Can you feel it through the steering wheel, seat, floor. I would have thought they had checked engine and gearbox mounts.

I'm new here, could I get some advice with a vibration problem

That sounds quite odd as most vibration get worse with more revs, presumably only when you are driving. Did they list the checks they carried out? Something loose in the battery compartment?
