More than happy for you to pop round and plug it in to mine.

    H11 lamp connector replacement.

Breakers yards. I dunno anything about that part, but obviously off an F2 or maybe a 2010 era Ford or possibly other cars might use that as its possibly a Chinese parts bin part.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Smashing looking motor. Some decent cabbage trees you got there to. Bain of my life (or 1 of them anyway) continually tidying up their dropped leaves.

    VCU Torque test results

What I find amazing is that, like, windows are solid... but we can see out of them. Blows my mind. Can someone please explain? And like, how does turning that round thing in front of the seat on the right make the car go left or right? Unbelievable. Its like magic.

    L Series Injection Mods

Bloke at work was trying to open the bonnet on an Iveco the other day. He was struggling pulling the bonnet release handle to get the bonnet to open, couldn't get it to open. So I says to him I'd have a go, for him to go to the front and pull it in case that helps. I couldn't actually see...

    LED side lights not working

Actually, scrub that. I was thinking of the indicator lights/bulbs. Dunno if the side lights are the same.

    LED side lights not working

Have you swapped back to the originals and they still work? If you find they don't, you may find the bulb holder and the seating they fit in to on the lamp unit is broken. Its a common thing, and removing the holder may just have dislodged something. It is probably the LED bulbs, but worth...

My Freelander Passed with flying colours

A MOT pass doesn't necessarily mean reliable, but its a good start and does tell you that the important bits are sound. You know yourself whether its reliable or not. I have got things that don't work on our F1 that were broke when we bought it 14 years ago. They obviously don't inconvenience...

    Freelander 1 Clutch replacement

That's typical! Make a small, inconsequential, change so that the LR part number can be sold for more $! Hope the fix works.

Its not really Brexit. Maybe rules imposed by your or the European government. Here in NZ its obviously never been part of the EU and we don't have import taxes. We just pay normal GST/VAT like we do on all purchases. Mind you, I suppose the shipping fees are like import duties :D Even...

    L Series Injection Mods

Great idea to work together to have options when maintaining the vehicles. There are niche companies in the UK that may be able to help with that, for example DMGRS are a great supplier of Rover related parts (eg engines) and the Freelander specific outfits may be able to adapt to ways that...

    Freelander 1 Clutch replacement

Not sure how the clutch hydraulics could leak in the box, it never goes inside the bell housing and I'd have thought it impossible to run down the release arm, let alone through into the bell housing. If the hydraulics are looking OK, I'd say there's no need to change. I would say though that...

Freelander 1 Sand Tyre Pressure, how low is low?

I've seen things like this a few times... Might be a cheaper alternative or something that can be made up at home. Definitely take up less space in the car than boards! I haven't gone out to check on my F1 to see what sort of clearance there is around the wheel for the block not hitting...

Noise gone but prop shaft queries abound

I'm not familiar with the props on F2, but I think you can't buy just the bearings, you have to buy the whole prop. I hope I've made that up, cos it sounds stupid. I'm sure you'll get various messages on the dash about impending doom.

Noise gone but prop shaft queries abound

If you replace the support bearings, don't go cheap or you'll be doing the job again, and quite likely within a couple of months. I think FAG ones are the ones to go for. You'll need to separate the props form the VCU to replace then, and this is the go to tutorial for doing that... You...
