Well well well, it might come as a shock but it's seized! Why is it the "easy" jobs seem to be the worst? Was hoping to get the car fixed today but I'll have to wait now for a new tensioner.

Thanks Alteredtech, but it's for the nut behind so I can tighten it and then hopefully it will move enough for me to get the belt on.

I know this is a weird one but do you have the factory side steps? I was hearing knocking for ages and it was driving me crazy, replaced all the usual culprits and still knocking! Turns out it was the driver side steps rattling, removed both sides and quite as a mouse!

Thanks for your reply, yeah the front bolt is a 24mm but the back is smaller I think. Tried to get a few sizes on but the angle is terrible and I don't want to take half the engine apart just for this!

Since no one is responding to the other post, I've made a new one! Really need help with this! Belt tensioner is not moving to let me get the belt on, the nut is moving but tensioner is not could maybe get a spanner in behind but I've no idea the size and internet search has been no help. Any...

Tensioner pulley won't move, bolt just turns in either direction but pulley won't move. What's the options? Can't get in behind to get at the bolt to tighten, can't even find out what size it would be.

Before you start taking apart the receiver, have you checked the internal buttons on the keys. I've had to replace many of those on various car keys over the years!

I know this is silly but my grandmother had a similar problem with her car a while back and we couldn't figure it out for ages. Turned out the floor mat was slipping behind the pedals and causing the brake pedal to stay slightly "stuck" after braking. You've probably already ruled that out but...

I'm no expert, but if it were me, just to be safe I'd buy a new set. They aren't that expensive but a broken timing belt could be!

AnnuvaUser sorry for hijacking your thread but Artic where'd you get the brass ones? When I changed my injectors mine were looking a bit tired. Did replace the O rings with new though!
