What ratio are you mixing?

Great info everyone. There seems to be a great deal of conflicting information as regards what to do with veggie oil etc. Add petrol? Add white spirit? Mix with diesel etc etc. May be there should be a pole as to who uses what and how.

Its not that its just i have read that you can damage the fuel injector pump if the veggie oil is not thinned down enough

where can you get rapseed oil from. I go to costco and buy 20 litres of oil for about £15. Saving about £11.

So you think that there is no need to warm veggie oil up. Is your landy diesel?

Its a heat exchanger for SVO. Want run disco on veggie oil.

Hi Its a 2.5 300TDI, 1995. I was told that i could do this no problems from a company that specialises in Land Rovers. I know that veg oil is thicker than diesel, that why i did a 50/50 mix.

Hi I have just looked into running my disco on veg oil after having my fuel injection pump repaired. The company that fitted it all for me reckoned that it should not be a problem. In the winter to do a mix but in the summer nothing to stop you using 100% veg oil. Bit dubious but thought that...

Have got a 95 300tdi. Just will not start all of a sudden. Turning over fine, get some smoke from back so there is fuel getting to it. Just will not fire. Any ideas!!!!!

Just started it. In park idling fine as soon as i put gear, power goes, back into park a few times then all goes ok. Weird.

Sorry i start i park your correct in pointing that out. Yes there seems to be no power in the engine. Eventually it goes, but also noticed that when i stop sometimes the same thing happens, it hesitates. Blocked injectors? Thanks
