    Thanks. All pointing to slave cylinder. 2nd opinion guy said that there was fluid around the bell housing? Can you still get Haynes manuals? Think I need one if I'm going to keep the landy!

    Just spoken with mechanic, he says that it isn't the bleed nipple , it was something else, unspecified but when he looked t'other day that was still intact

    Ps Guys that changed the gearbox were doing me a personal favour but don't know much about landys, the slave cylinder was replaced about this time last year by an actual mechanic. Going to call him now

    Thanks Andy. This is what all of my mechanically minded friends have said too. The invoice mentioned a plug on some part that has a worn thread, fixed with "sealant", could this be the source of the leak? Mates all agree that if flywheel was at fault there would be juddering, there isn't.
