hi guys ive got a 52 plate td4 freelander and wondered if defender wheels would fit on it cheers

well got my mate from ribblesdale landrover to come and have a look,took a look disconected egr valve an now it starts like a little beauty med up.no smoke anymore or rough idling just starts and puuuuuuuuurs.

i stand corrected so if they come on anyway it must be something eles then.ime going to start by.checking the fuel pressure sensor for any corrosioin on connections,then do you think the egr may have a role to play.ime thinking that i may need to broaden my horizons and think that its not just 1...

it does start firs time when glow plugs come on but as you nkow thats not all the time.y didnt they make the plugs come on everytime whats that all about

i believe it is after alot of searching on here.i have only had the car about 3 weeks ime going to c if the oil fill is to much, if it is would this cause blue smoke.it only does it on cold start also i have to turn the ignition on off on off 3 to 4 times before starting oterwise it doesnt start...

ha i have a 52 plate td4 and i love it.its not without its problems the last owner hasnt really looked after it very well on the servicing front ect but nothing that cant be sorted.dont listen to the defender and disco owners getting on there high horse lol,they paid waymore for the same...

sorry bout the slow replys been buisy.no there is no warning lights on its just a bloody bad starter unless the glow plugs come on.if not it starts like poo with a big puff of blue smoke and bouncing idle on revs beytween 500 and about 750 800

ive just finished 1 bottle to a tank.the revs are definatley at 500 it goes up to about 780 when the heaters are on.ive read on here that a dodgy fuel pressure sensor has similar issues with rough idling and bad starting ect but ime not shure. martin

well i bought some wynnes ingector cleaner and its helped a bit but no magical cure lol,is still idles a bit rough spetially on start up but not as bad when warm.also should it idle at 500rpm it seems a bit rattly/vibraty its seems smoother when i just touch the accelorator to 750.any comments...

hi ive got a knocking sound from front driverside suspention.after reading alot of threads on here ive decided to purchase some new droplinks and arb bushes to c if that helps.ive never fitted them before and would like some advice/help cheers martin ps shure your sick of hearing about knocks...

i left the window open and it didnt beep at me when i locked it so it maybe doesnt work:confused:

hi guys i could do with some help to fit my new cd player.the connectors on the new 1 does not fit the freelander so i will be wiring every wire individually lol tedious.so i could do with a diagram of the freelanders wires cheers martin:D
