Hi all, im thinking of fitting a disco 1 rear axle onto my 200 defender. Can anyone tell me if It's a straight swop or is there any mods needed? Also want to fit the transfer box too, to make it a little better on road, is this a sensible mod? Does anyone know of any links to previous threads...

I bet that was hard to do? I tried selling mine twice and when it came to the crunch I could't let it go. Still at least your now drive the luxury alternative :)

Hi all, been a member about 18months now and not properly introduced myself. Most peeps call me The Rims. Now living in Nottingham but originally from Derby, Ive been a landy owner for about 12 years. My current motors are a 200 defender pick up and a 300 disco 1 which I've just started...

I'd still say its the sender, mine started playing up when I nearly ran it out of fuel too. The pipework was a little rusty aswel and I did the same as you did patching it up. Do you have anyone near you who has a disco that wouldn't mind letting you borrow there sender just to prove that it is...

I had a similar problem with mine. I was getting fuel at the injectors but it turned out not enough fuel. and it was the sender in the tank that wasn't letting enough through. I'd check the fuel sedimentor first though it is located on the inner side of the chassis rail just behind the rear...

Could do with it gone before tax runs out so open to sensible offers

I've managed to put a photo of the disco in my album and you can see the outcome of computer saying no so will keep trying.

I'm selling my 300tdi disco with 3 months mot and 1 month tax. The engine and running gear are in excellent condition. It's has 148k on the clock, belt and pulleys changed at 127k brake discs and pads changed 2 months ago and a new front prop at the same time. (Easier than renewing ujs)New fuel...
