    I definitely owe you one! i just hope i can gain enough knowledge to start contributing back to the site. and again Thank you to everyone that contributed. I'm sure i'll be starting a new thread up soon when the next problem rises :)

    i think the rf receiver has already been snipped as it doesn't work. was going to think about re-connecting it but if its an existing problem i'll leave it. i'll go and do tests on the alt and more on the battery as they are both new so i'm thinking that its got an under powered battery on it...

    Found the problem! after searching for a while. The Fuse (F1) under the seat had half burnt out leaving a tiny strip of metal causing an incorrect continuity reading and as it slowly burnt caused the dash lights to pulse less and less. All the Help is much appreciated! should i still be worried...

    just plugged in the voltmeter and it reads 13.9v turned everything electric on i could find and it stays at 13.9v. but now i have no Dash power at all and the HEVAC is working again. Range Rovers are a confusing species...

    when the engines on and revving at 2000 ish rpm (got no dials) its out put is 13.18v and no change in voltage from idle. the alternator and battery are new (from what I've been told by the previous owner) so could it be an under powered battery or duff alternator that's causing the intermittent...

    afternoon, i'v had a look around with my voltmeter and the alternator and battery are ok, i checked all the fuses n they are ok except one i get a 12.2v reading off the instrument panel fuse under the drivers seat. at fuse F1, is this correct? *this is with the ignition off

    i think its had a new alternator, n battery from the previous owner but i will get it checked. where would i start searching for a bad earth? and if it is a short would it still have to be shorting out for it to be flashing? i haven't had this car long at all so im not to clued up on it all...
