How do I check if cylinders are at TDC. I know that cyl 1 has marks on the casting but what about the other 3?

Hi. I think I may have found where all my oil is going. Removed the rocker cover today and 7 out of 8 of my valve stem seals are no longer in contact with the head but are up near the top of the valve stem. Either I didn't fit these correctly when I did my head gasket or using Britpart...

It has no problem starting and seems to have plenty of power. I ran the engine with the hose off the turbo and no sign of any oil. Bit of a mystery. All I can think is piston rings at the mo but not really a winter job!!

Fitted a 3 hole gasket which is the same as what came off.

I've had a quick look at the turbo. I removed the pipes and ran the engine. No oil came out and seemed to be blowing well. I'll check for play in the impeller.

Yes it's an R380. The box is still in the vehicle at the mo. it's out of a 1997 disco with 141k on the clock. Drove really nicely without the common crunching into 2nd gear.

As title. Condition not important as its not going back on the road. Just need a set so I can still move the chassis about once I start stripping it. The more local to me the better. Thanks.
