We did ours with 'toughcab' water based speaker paint, can be sprayed on but we just rollered it. It's held up well so far on a mix of indoor and outdoor gigs.

As I understand it the problem with phones on planes is that 100+ phones all hunting for signal as they come in to land makes a hell of a lot of that chattering noise in the pilots headphones when he's trying to listen to th control tower.

That ecu is just for the egr system, better off without it.

My defender had the three wires to the old alternator, my new alternator only had the two terminals so i just didn't bother with the white wire cos it ain't got a rev counter anyway. 3 months later I've had no ill effects. Rave shows the white as being the signal to the rev counter

Stock battery connectors are usually crimped onto the cables but you can get ones with screw terminals to replace them if you don't happen to have a set of crimpers.

As far as I know the egr is desperate from edc. My 300tdi had an egr and associated crap but is definitely not edc. I think if you've got edc you'll have wiring going to one of the injectors.

Surely it depends how far you drive it?

It's coming up really bad at the moment, think its got grounding issues on the aerial. Who'd have thought it eh, a landy with a dodgy earth?

I've bodged it into the fag lighter supply for tomorrow. It was fitting the aerial that got me soaked, but its done now, just got to swr it in in the morning.
