    Er. Is this normal?

Yeah, read it again, I don't have a manual yet. I'm sorry that I don't instinctively know what every component of every engine is; that's why I'm on a forum asking questions and trying to learn. And since you ask, 1997. Do with that whatever you like. I get the whole forum etiquette thing...

    Duh... what's this bit?

Thanks. I did run it home from where it bought it from.. Hadn't checked properly. Fortunately that was only a few miles. Filled up the coolant and it emptied. Filled it again and it stayed level. Obvious air escaping from the system through the header tank as I did this. Will keep a close...

    Er. Is this normal?

Thanks. Had since found this which seems good advice. http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/draining-water-rear-goldfish-bowl-94655.html

    Er. Is this normal?

Good to know! What's the the primary source of the water? I dried it all out but next day it was swimming again (despite it not raining overnight). I don't really care except the fancy harmon cardon sub is soaking in it....

    Er. Is this normal?

Found this big puddle of water in the boot today. I'm hoping that it's the owner left the rear window open once. More likely it's ****ty seals.

Likewise... ! Even with the pic. Where am I looking for this beasty? Is it in the engine compartment or fuse area or behind the centre console or... ? Ta.

    Duh... what's this bit?

great, thanks. that's worrying about the empty coolant. i noticed a pool of something on the engine block this morning - looked like oil but when I mopped it up it was too liquid. I'm pretty sure I've got an issue with the inlet manifold (it's quite noisy/rattly on tick over) and I read...

    Inlet manifold [chamber] swap

Hi The engine / exhaust is very rattly on tick over. Have been reading through some of the threads here and it seems most likely it's the inlet manifold [chamber] issue. If I understand correctly, over time some little movable gubbins within it start to move more than it should and hence...

    Duh... what's this bit?

Sorry, daft question time but I haven't got hold of a manual yet and the stickers aren't helping/existent. What are the 3 reservoirs in the pic? Left is power steering, but not sure the other two. Assume one is brake master. The middle one on mine is currently empty... Ta.

    Back in Landy fold

Hi all Decided to join the forum as in all the googling I've been doing LZ seemed to crop up the most...! I had a 110 about 5 years ago which needed a lot of work and when I got tired of walking to work I chopped it in against a shiny truck. But the loan man caught up with me on that one so...
