    Classic insurance

...so simple  I guess in our case, my wife would be the owner and registered keeper. Now, main question is, would they insure this classic on her provisional license with me, being a second driver. Problem is, sometimes, if you try it, and they refuse it, they put some sort of black mark...

Sorry mate but only acronym I've found for HTSH was "Human Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone" So didn't quite get what you said :)

    Classic insurance

On the certificate of registration, there is my wifes name. She only has a provisional driving license. Will there be a problem to insure the Landy? And I'd like to be put as second driver for classic insurance. Is that even possible? Regards

    Series 2/3

Cheers. I just lost one on ebay bidding by 50 quid :) What age does the vehicle must be, so it can be insured as classic? I always thought, same as for tax exemption - means 72 or older. My neighbor pays ~150 quid for two landys SI and SIII...

just put it up for sale

what motor mate? some shots from underneath and floor inside would be good too. Pop the hood and make one from engine compartment as well.

    Series 2/3

I don't have high demands. Late 2 or early 3, very clean inside, diesel, not modified too harshly.

    Series 2/3

You know how it works, If you don't need them, there is plenty advertised around. When you wanna buy it - instantly all gone. They are not that rare, prices between 2 and 4 grand, and I'm prepared to pay somewhat around the middle, but when you're tight on time, instantly there is non around.

    Series 2/3

Chi chaps. Long story short. My docs couldn't do anymore for me, so simply I'm dying from leukemia. Pulled a bit longer than they expected though, and wanna do something before I pass away. Had to sell my last landy when disease started, as by loosing job we've had plenty of financial problems...

    Terrafirma or OME??

OME for sure... Had terrafirma shockers. Not too good experience, had them removed after 2 weeks, and replaced with new strengthened procomps.

    Cancer Support Scotland Trip

Well possibly, but I think this one will be sponsor based, as people go on some trips paying for the holiday anyways, and having some fun while at it. Not sure about details though yet.

    Cancer Support Scotland Trip

Certain idea has presented itself, mainly a trip around Scotland with sponsors involved in fund raising for cancer support charities. Bradford Cancer Support is a main patron, there is a plan to involve McMillan as well. Basically the idea is to drive vehicles around Scotland, including Western...

    cranked trailing arms

I actually went to their garage today, as they promised to solve my problem. Seen all the professional metal processing equipment and tools, on the garage parking lot quite a few impressive landrovers with their stuff fitted, including challenge truck stuffed with products they make themselves...

    cranked trailing arms

So what you're basically saying, X-arm is best, any other type is ****e? I'm not after cheap stuff but - will gladly pay more but Im not after 2 seasons competition set either.

    cranked trailing arms

Adrenalin's arms seemed strong, and well made, and they really are, apart from crappy design of the axle mount, what I realized after. But don't tell me that X-eng is the only decent firm that makes aftermarket trailing arms...

    Wave Etiquette

Few wave-rules of mine: 1)If you wave to pig-shed-ninety, the driver will look at you like you were from Vega... 2)If you wave to make-up-blonde-driven factory disco/range - you're from Vega for sure 3)3rd/4th generation discos/ranges never notice your existence as they from Vega usually...

    cranked trailing arms

Oh come on.. wth was that :) I said - I dont need extreme stuff, and firms like X-something like to go bankrupt, event decent ones, what will I do then when my hardmadafaka ball joint/bush will wear down? Or in the middle of africa on my LR trip? I need heavy duty long term stuff mate.

    cranked trailing arms

Just wrote that i don't want X-arms, well even if i would they wont have anything in stock for another 2 weeks at least. Just phoned them. And also - what will happen when they bankrupt (like Scorpion did)? Bush goes dead - no replacemets avialable. I'd rather stick to genuine LR idea instead of...

    cranked trailing arms

Thanks :) So which ones would be the decent? X-arm - I don't want, Not doing any extreme competition stuff. Just want a bit more articulation, and toughness. I got adrenalin4x4 at the moment. Very solid and tough but axle mount welded centrally - and stops the axle from articulating at all...
  19. T

    cranked trailing arms

Well, I managed to find the the problem. The arms MUST be DOUBLE CRANKED to provide decent articulation. Btw - has anyone used one of those? landrover cranked trailing arms Discovery 90 Rangerover on eBay (end time 18-Apr-10 20:34:11 BST) Are they tough and safe enough?

    cranked trailing arms

Replaced my trailing arms and radius arms for cranked/3dg-corrected.... ...and surprise.... Articulation far worse than it was before. I had all rubber bushes, figured that if they lasted 15years, i'll replace them with LR genuine ones again. So i put cranked arms and rubber bush set. Normally...
