So, Old Smoky is soon getting a new and shiny 2.25 diesel engine fitted. Since it can get a bit nippy up the khyber where I am (read: -25 during winter, and that's degrees C :D), I was thinking I could fit a block heater or something similar. Is it at all possible? If so, how? Any specific make...

Thanks guys! However, I am sure that we all, at times, fail to see the "charm" with a Series. To me, that usually happens when someone asks me how Old Smoky fares and I reply "ooo, it's running as smooth as a Jaguar", only to turn around and see half a Saudi Arabia worth of oil under it.... :mad:

When I got my Landy, it was on 235/85 R16 tyres. The car looked like a German Shepherd puppy with huge paws and was a nightmare to steer. Nowadays, my S3 sports Micheline Latitude Cross on new tubeless OE wheels. Great for spring-to-autumn use up here, and on-road, if you don't want to climb...

Stupid question from ringside: is the tractor in working order? If so, why not get some other means of transport to the pickup place, and then simply drive it home? However, I am sure there is a perfectly good reason as to why you want to tow it, but I thought I would ask anyway... o_O

Cheap label machine... That IS a brilliant idea. I will surely remember that whenever I decide to start Project Untangle, i.e. rewiring Old Smoky.
