    1.8i engine, yr2000, as for fuse can describe location will have to search to find diagram / fuse list Open the bonnet it is the fuse box on your right hand side as you look towards rear of car and just forward of the jack stowage point, remove cover and again from the front it is the rear row...

    RAC been it is blowing the 30amp starter motor fuse when you start it he thinks it is one of the other functions that comes on when you start it one of the sensors, so it will have to go into my electrical man tomorrow. thanks all dingdong

    Update - its fixed Changed front prop ( bearing worn) no joy. Put it i 2wheel using a blanking plate, found whent holding crown wheel unit in hand and rotating shaft bearings felt graunchy , found a recommended refurber who sold me the 2 bearings (timkin), oils seal and crush washer under £40...

    No vcu is still on, what i am asking is if I just remove the front propshaft can I drive it as a 2 wheel drive for a while or do iI need to remove the rear one and vcu. I don't know if driving it with the vcu fitted and no front shaft if the rotation from rear wheels will damage vcu cheers...

    update no vibration in 2 wheel drive put new prop on still got vibration they are going to do the VCU test next, if that is ok I assume could be vcu bearings or something aft of that in the drive train If I drive it in 2 wheel for a while do I need to remove the vcu to prevent it being damaged...
