Cheers Sean. well i should be looking out for a low milage 300 tdi engine then, or trade her in for a newer one?? Just annoying in the mornin startin the beast up. Compression is prolly it as its done 175k and when shes warm she runs fine when the rings have expanded etc. bloody landrovers lol :)

Think ive turned into a shandy drinker from livin down south for too long!!! :( Was freezin up around Inverness, practically tropical when i came bak down here lol. So the bore and rings are probably shot??

Just had all me belts done on me 110. is it normal on cold start for a landy to take about 10 seconds to kick over, then spit black smoke for a second then run fine?? once shes hot theres no problem staring first time. anyone got any ideas. Glow plugs prolly havent been changed in years and...

Cheers Dirty, Aye i taped it up with electrical tape as best i cud and seems to have cured it .......for now lol. I think its why the guy i bought it off sold it, thinkin it had a major snag. good job i hosed the engine down or i never would have known about it until the loom had burnt through...

Hi all, back from work after a week away, went to start landy...........dead as a do-do!! jumped battery of car and fine. Was suspecting the battery until i cleaned her. headr fizzing under bonet. opened and traced the noise to part of the loom near the air filter coming towards the front...

T-cuts good for stickers on the glass, dunno if it will work on panels? cant see why it wont, plus it will clean as u de sticky yourself!! :)

Yeah the photography bit is only a serious hobby, i work full time for the evil government :) But i do get a chance to get close to bits n pieces others would never get to see, so the camera is never far away. also into bikes, gixer 600 at the moment.
