Just outta curiosity, is this the same hippo from this forum. I met a guy in Winnipeg who was a rover tech in the UK (not sure how credible he was but seemed to know my car somewhat) that told me about the Jatco solenoids failing. Im having some possible tranny issues that happen occasionally...

I Replaced my fluid aprox 10k miles ago and it was good. Started doin that good stuff 5k miles later. Sometimes ill drive at a constant speed or accelerating and ill get a kick like the trans locks then releases. Rare but it happens. Ill just keep changing fluid and lookin for particles in old...

My 02 KV6 (98k miles) has been parked for the last 3 years untouched in a barn. Got it running np, new coolant, new fuelpump n filter (together), fresh gas n no problems. I drove it about 2000 miles now n got some codes EVAP solenoid changed (cleared one code), bank 2 VIS motor (cleared code)...

Hey sort of on the same topic, i broke my key in the ignition of my 02 freelander the other day and i am looking to replace the switch. The vehicle has an immobilizer and im wondering what all is required to order from a salvage 2002 Freelander if i plan on using its keys and its door lock...

Hey i brought my 2.5 kv6 with an auto tranny to a tech for a trans fluid exchange and he told me all this stuff about needing a spetial machine to exchange the fluid. Basically i was told i needed the old fluid to be pumped and fed in through different oppening. Is this acurate and does anyone...

Hey. Just changed the o2 sensors on my 02 freelander and thought it might enhance the trucks look if i paint the aluminium skid plate. Mines all scuffed up and looks like it needs a pick up. Im curious whats involved in preparing and painting this kind of stuff?

Thanks a lot john i figured it was the air temp sensor but im not able to find one online. It is giving me 4ohms when i test it with the dvom, does that seem normal?

:doh:Recently my Freelander (2002 K25) was running sluggish with out a check engine light on. So i pulled the air filter out and saw it was nice and clean but then noticed my MAF sensor was looking quite dirty. So i went to a parts supplier around here and picked up some MAP/MAF sensor cleaner...

do any of ur vehicles pull codes or if ur vehicles stalling it could be the butterfly valve in ur intake. this makes the computer freak and it literally shuts ur engine off (kinda retarded)

Do u think a Rover 75 cylider head would bolt right up no problem? I mean there will be no major fab work, firing order being the same etc.
